Pain management doctor? Gotta be kidding!
No tact & impatient. I have chronic pain in my left leg from a cancer operation last year. Also from a 3rd hip operation along w/ cancer in my face & neck. I'm in excruciating pain & I asked him for a prescription for oxycodone which de phoned in to my pharmacy. The pharmacy had a problem filling my order because I had a previous prescription for this medication from my orthopedic surgeon. When I called his office requesting help to resolve this, he never called me back for 3 days. I went into his office in person to discuss this w/ him & guess what? He wouldn't let me speak (telling me to sit down, be quiet & listen) & when I did try to explain the situation he interrupted me, rolled his eyes, sighed, etc. When he started to read a litany of other doctors to me I couldn't understand I asked to see the list & he told me "NO!" No empathy what so ever. He said he wouldn't (not couldn't!) help me and recommended I see another doctor. Unbelievable. Don't waste your time w/ this heathen.

Excellent Care
I was referred to Dr. Minor because of unrelenting pain in my lumbar spine and right hip. Dr. Minor did a very through examination and review of all records. He recommended an epidural steroid and anesthetic injection into the affected areas. Within days after the treatment, I was able to stand and walk comfortably and am able to restart physical therapy to regain my strength. Dr. Minor was caring, thorough, very competent and an expert in managing and relieving my pain.

My daughter was mistreated by Dr Minor's office staff. They made her wait for appointments when it was obvious she was in pain. She wanted to make an appointment to get a shot in his office, but they gave her a hard time and insisted she do it in the hospital. Finally, she was scheduled for an injection in the hospital that she had waited 6 weeks for. They called while we were in the car on the way to the hospital saying that they didn't have insurance authorization. My daughter was devastated! Now she has to find a new doctor, have another MRI before he will see her, and hassle with her insurance company. This is outrageous!

Not the most caring doctor I’ve encountered. I’m not saying he’s dismissive or anything. But he can be almost curt-like, staid and too matter of fact for my preferences. I’m not looking for a doctor I can my friend, but I also don’t want to leave any doctor’s office feeling as if my concerns were treated more as a burden. Lastly, forgetful. On my second visit, forgot 2 of the 3 tests we had done on my first visit.

Excellent doc and worth the drive from the Westside. Spent a lot of time reading my records, actually EXAMINED me, and spent lots of time getting to know my medical experiences from my own mouth. Referring me for some specialized testing - tests completely overlooked in my 12 plus years of mod-severe pain. Frankly, I'm excited and relieved. He didn't just pull out the prescription pad and dismiss me. He cares. So, he cares to think. I'm liking it. Plus, his staff is LOVELY!

Dr. Minor is a kind and caring doctor. His office staff on the other hand has not a clue. Nice people. The billing manager is rude and lazy and I will never go there again after the way my Insurance glitch was handled and her rudeness and lack of business skills.
