Dr. Jose Abrego, MD

Dr abrego has been my mothers dr for the past few years. it’s hard to find a Dr with your native language and in a convenient location so she has stuck around. He is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. He does NOT CARE for his patients especially the latino community. We’ve heard similar stories. He constantly doesn’t validate her health concerns and will often say “oh there’s nothing you can do about that”. If you go with him you have to make an appointment for each health concern. You can bring multiple symptoms, you have to make multiple appointments for each. As he has stated “you have me exactly 15min and I have to go see my other 2000 patients” (among other things) which he sees you maybe 5-7min then send the nurse assistant. I’m doing everything I can to find a suitable dr that will be convenient for my mother who’s not this rude and careless. He mostly refers to other drs instead of trying to figure out what the issue is. Honestly he should consider changing profession or retire.

Abrego has been my primary care doctor for over five years and he's got the ABSOLUTE WORST bedside manner of any doctor in the United States. i never changed doctors because i'm busy and he was convenient but after my most recent visit i will NEVER EVER return. i purposely chose an Internist as my primary care doctor so they DON'T have to refer me to specialists. HE IS A SPECIALIST and i think it's a scam to constantly refer a patient to other colleagues instead of treating it yourself.

Dr. Abrego has been my primary care physician for many years. I have multiple medical conditions which Dr Abrego has expertly treated and controlled. He has referred me to specialists whenever necessary. He listens to me...really listens, and I have never been disappointed with his care or the care of the specialists he has recommended. Would I recommend him? I sent my only child to him!
