I saw Dr. Azar in 2011 for NHL. He spent over 2 hours with me and my family explaining the cancer, treatment, how it is staged, testing, and chances of survival. Even though I had family in the room, his focus and attention was on me to be certain I understood what was going to happen, and he hand wrote everything we discussed and handed me the paper. I forgot half of what he said after I left, but I had that paper with every answer on it. Amazingly thorough, caring and kind!

Probably the most through and thoughtful doctor I have ever been to. He provides excellent medical knowledge and compassion all under the umbrella of wisdom. Have been his patient for 7 years and intend to be his patient as long as he is practicing Hematology Oncology.
