I would not even give him one star.
Dr. Mayans lasered my husband’s eye because the cataract (barely 1 year old) had become cloudy. The cloudiness remained. My husbands needed a new eyeglass prescription so he went to a local eye doctor who told my husband that his eye had not been completely lasered and suggested he return to Dr. Mayans which he did. Dr. Mayans initially denied this fact and put this other doctor down. Once Dr. Mayans examined the eye, he admitted that his laser had not done its job. His laser, not him, was at fault. He is so arrogant, he couldn’t admit he had not done a good job. We were charged both times. So, we paid twice the amount we should have. Three days later, instead of calling my husband, they called me to inform me that the doctor had COVID. This time the procedure worked. This isn’t the first write up I’ve done on this doctor. We will not be returning to him ever. He also has absolutely no bedside manner either, like I said arrogance seeps through his skin.

I was referred to Dr Mayan by the MCM ER. Since my situation needed treatment in a timely manner, I did not research my other options. Thus began a series of 4 operations and 1 procedure, and numerous appointments with Dr Mayans. I would NOT recommend him to anyone. First of all, he is very rude, and does not like any questions. He is older, and from a culture that does not question anyone in authority. I know this because I have lived in Mexico for over 8 years. At his office, he s

I was his patient for a few months he wanted to do surgery in my bad eye and I had two options both were bad, he said I would either lose my eye or my eyesight. So I went to a different doctor and I still have my eye and my eyesight. I would not recommend him.
