Dr. Jose Mendez, DO

I went in to get 2 pilar cysts removed from my scalp. Dr. Mendez had already examined them and made the next appointment for removal. After waiting for 3 hours past my appointment time, the doctor told me the cysts needed an ultrasound before he could get them removed at yet another appointment which is ridiculous. Pilar cysts don’t need an ultrasound prior to removal and this was confirmed by another doctor and a surgeon. I walked out of the appointment and although he did absolutely nothing, I was still charged $174. I tried calling to remove that charge and although they “promised” to have a supervisor call back to resolve the issue, I received 0 response. Terrible service and terrible attitude. 0 stars.

Hoy 26 de julio tuve una reconsulta con el Dr. Mendez por lesiones precancerosas de piel y como siempre revision completa y me quemaron algunas lesiones y me tomaron biopsias de otras.Excelente staff incluyendo la asistente, muy atentos, respetuosos y profesionales.Los medicamentos me llegaron en tiempo.Lo sigo recomendando absolutamente

Dr Mendez and his staff are professionals in the health care business and they treat every patient like family. After 16 years of treatement I have never been dissapointed by Dr Mendez staff and his personal care for his patients. There are many dermatologists close to my home (and I've tried a few) but I drive 20 miles round trip because I know that the quality of care I receive from Dr Mendez is administerd with care and excellence. All that, plus he's a genuinely nice person.

Do not fall into this trap. I went to this practice because it was close to my home. Unfortunately from the get-go the staff fails to tell you an actual doctor will never see you. The assistant who saw me was playing a guessing game prescribing expensive creams with no tangible results months later. You're paying full prices to get inexperienced staff with no doctor's supervision for treatments. Literally, in all three visits the doctor was NEVER around.

This person is a Pandora box, you never know. You paid to see him instead you got to see an assistant that wants to do the same exams, for which paid previously. You pay to see a specialist, no his assistant and trainees. In the financial aspect is a shark, you got hit with invoices that were not explained during your visit.

Dr. Mendez is an excellent physician. Because I have a family history of Melanoma, my office visits require time and attansion to detail. Dr. Mendez never rushes and always takes time to listen. I can see why his schedule is so full. I am blessed to have found a physician like him.
