Dr. Jose Peraza, MD

The bill was in error on 4 counts.When the appointment was set I was led to believe I was going to see a doctor and specialist...Mr. Kumar was misleadingly referred to as 'Dr. Kumar', but he is not a doctor and not a specialist, which became very evident in the approx. 8, 10 minutes max, I spend with him on an initial visit...not the 45 to 59 minutes I was billed for. There was no special 'quality of care' provided. To the contrary, it was honestly the most pathetic medical appointment I can remember in 67 years. It was of no value to me. He provided no comment or evidence of knowledge about the condition and wrote a script before he was out the door without asking any questions. It was a waste. And yet, the overly aggressive, even hostile, accountant persists in defending these errors...but of course she was not in the room and it costs her nothing.

He charged me $800.00 for an earlobe repair which his assistant Kira performed. It was only partially repaired and my earring would droop down. When I called and complained, they seemed willing to help me. When I got to the appointment, they were both nasty and dismissive. Kira shoved a small earring in my ear. When I said that the earring was tiny and would take a long time to droop. They decided that I should come back in an hour. I left knowing that I would never go back to that office. His son, Dr. Dan Peraza in the Claremont office is great. The father needs to retire and allow patients to get good, empathetic and respectful care.

Dr. Peraza seems to delegate most the work to his staff. He took very little time to examine. I don't like a doctor's office selling cosmetics.
