Dr. Joseph Charais, DO

When you take someone into the ER, and than tell them they are being admitted and their ride goes home, only to be told you are not being admitted because you are just an alcoholic there is something very wrong with you. My husband actually heard the Dr. Say that about him. He was trying to get treatment to be eventually admitted to a 28 day in housed program in Green Bay. I will NEVER advise anyone to go to this hospital. The nurse was trying to convince the Dr. that she felt he should be admitted... she was wonderful. He was a heartless person. I hope he knows that alcoholism does not just inflict on poor and weak people. It can afflict hard working , family people as well. My husband did NOT need to hear that when he was only trying to get help to survive. Dr. Charais should be ashamed of himself.

Apparently, based on the rating I caught Dr. Charais on a good day. Brought in my son- completely frantic. He was able to calmly and professionally help, prompt response time to later queries and understanding. Maybe he's perceived as standoffish, but I considerate more professionalism than cold manners. I liked him better than the nurse, at any rate.

Ask for another MD if this guy shows up. He will say he is ordering something and then, oops, the test is not run. He will not make it right. He doesn’t know basic tests to rule out a disc herniation causing urinary retention. Thankfully there are some better providers at TC- pray that you get them.
