Horrible Experience
Dr. Cunniff was extremely rude, dismissive, and condescending. He does not listen, and is constantly speaking over patients. He documents inaccurate and false information. In reviewing the imaging, it was from another patient, not my scans! Recommended for Allina to disassociate, as the quality of his care is inappropriate and egregious. When asked why he was being rude, his reply was that he wasn't yelling, and walked out. Horrible experience, do not recommend.

I was referred to Dr Cunniff for an injection. I saw Dr Cunniff at Abbot Hospital yesterday for a pinched nerve issue that was causing me excruciating pain from my back into my leg. He was very pleasant when he met with me to perform the epidural injection. Told me what to expect from the procedure. Answered all my questions to my satisfaction. During the procedure, he kept me informed about what he was doing and made sure that I didn’t have any pain whilst administering the medication. Dr Cunniff is an excellent Dr in my opinion.

I agree with the disturbing experiences of other patients. I found Dr. Cunniff to be rude, uninterested, dismissive of my pain. I doubt his diagnosis and am seeking other care. He needs to be reevaluated by his clinic supervisor. Very concerning and unprofessional.

I met with Dr Cunniff today about arm pain that has bothered me for years,. I found him to be very helpful, listened intently to me, took into consideration my not liking to drive in the cities and made arrangements for me to go to a clinic closer to where I live, very kind. We shared some laughs, which always puts me at ease. Asked my opinion on what he was suggesting. Thorough and explained himself very well. Would recommend him easily, and look forward to seeing him again. Made me feel at ease, patient man. Thank you

I saw Dr. Cunniff at Twin Cities Spine Center. I fully agree with the other reviewers who found Dr. Cunniff did not listen to them. He would ask me questions then cut me off mid-sentence before I could finish answering. He did not listen to me at all. He dismissed my complaints of pain. When I asked him to explain his opinion, he said “Well, maybe I should examine you first.” Duh! His chart notes didn’t include many of the things we discussed and didn’t accurately record what I had told him. He said that he would follow up with me later by telephone. I never heard back from him or anyone at his office. I think he probably is a skilled doctor, but doesn’t empathize with or listen to his patients.

I have never experienced such an uninterested, condescending interaction with any professional. It was obvious that he was only meeting to support a colleague and had come to conclusions before the consult had even begun.

It was a wasted appointment. They did not have my MRI and they said they would have it . I was referred by another Summit doctor to Cunniff to help diagnosis a hip problem that could be related to a spine condition. Cunniff said that was not his area. The trouble with Summit is they don't work together with diagnosis as they are so specialized. Someone needs to see the entire picture. He was very rude! He does not listen. Twists what you say.

I saw Dr Cunnif when he was at the Smart Clinic in Sandy. I don't understand these reviews, because he was awesome! He made my back pain go away for well over a year with only one cortisone shot. Two other doctors since then have not been able to relieve the pain. I wish I had driven out to Ogden to see him again. He was always professional, and very caring. Now I'm out of state, and once again my back is out. I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends in Utah.
