I went to this Dr after repeated episodes of diverticulitis. Previous Dr recommended resection surgery and I sought a second opinion. I also had some previous abdominal surgery for another condition when I was younger. PA came into the room and we spoke for about 20 minutes. She listened carefully to my concerns and reviewed my medical history. She gave the Dr 2 CD’s of CT scans I brought along. They also had recent labs.Dr came in, looked at me and said “you don’t need surgery”.No one ever physically examined me or attempted to discern what it was that was causing these repeated episodes. I felt unseen and unheard.Very depressing experience for me.

An amazing surgeon and patient advocate!
The only perk of having a colon cancer reoccurrence is having Dr Martz as my surgeon again. Not only is he an amazing surgeon but his bed-side manner is like none other. Dr Martz advocated on my behalf, explained everything to me in a way that I could understand and made me feel supported and not afraid. What more could a patient ask for?

He tries to pass off as a colon and rectal cancer doctor doing robotic surgery etc he operated on me, promised to save my anus, ended up with a colostomy. Worse of all, the wound in the bottom area has not healed - it has been 2 years now, he tried to fix it once, made it worse, then stop giving me an appointment and sends me to another surgeon at another hospital so he doesn't look bad. Stay far far away. He can talk a good talk

Dr. Martz is definitely the man for any colorectal issues. I don't stop talking about how I landed the best doctor ever. What better indication of his surgical excellence could be said but to say that while I was in post-op, I needed to check for the laparoscopic incisions as I absolutely felt painless and was not sure if the rectopexy surgery had taken place!! Just as amazing is his bedside manner. His entire staff were unbelievably friendly and ran efficiently with little wait time.

Dr. Martz and his entire team are the best ever. After my surgery Dr. Martz took time out of his busy schedule to call me every day to find out how I was doing. They truly care about you and go out of their way to help you and are so knowledgeable. Vicky, his PA, is excellent as well. Thank you for giving me back my life Dr. Martz. You are the best and I will never forget you and your entire team.

Dr. Martz is the most caring, compassion, personable, and knowledgeable Dr. that you will find anywhere. He and his Physician Assistant, Vicki, gave me complete involvement in my treatment in the most professional and caring way. I have unfortunately been admittedto Mt. Sinai hosptal for inrelated problems but when I see Dr. Martz on the hospital floor, I see him not just as a physician but as a friend
