AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I spent about 6 weeks repeatedly calling everyone and anyone in his new office to try to make an appointment. I was referred by my retiring doctor. I got nothing but wasted time and frustration. I?m not sure what?s going on with his office, but it?s a disaster. Do yourself a favor and avoid.

Cares about patient
Pros: will listen and consider your input. Helpful with paperwork. Cautious with meds so I never felt over medicated. His addiction medicine specialization helps and he is understanding about addictions. Cons: lack of thorough initial testing. If you want specialized testing for a possible ADHD, autism, etc diagnosis you have to be very explicit about it.

Empathy and kindness is minimal. During a patient crisis he meet anger with anger and showed an inability and unwillingness to help. He asked me how a drug was going; I wasn't even taking that medication. When our conversation derailed and it became clear that I didn't want to talk to him, and he clearly did not want to help, instead of providing me with information on a new psychiatrist he responded by asking "On Medicare?" like nobody ever takes it. Extremely unprofessional and unkind.
