Dr. Joseph Parkhurst, MD

Dr. Parkhurst is so knowledgeable and extremely conscientious. After suffering several kidney stones having urologists who just treated the kidney stone attack and sent me on my way, I was fortunate to have Dr. Parkhurst recommended to me by my father. Dr. Parkhurst did tests to determine what type of stones my body was producing and helped me with nutritional guidance and medications to prevent me from continuing to produce and suffer from kidney stones. As anyone who has kidney stones can attest, prevention is life-changing. Dr. Parkhurst has helped me to be stone-free for years, which is a godsend! He also worked closely with my father and successfully brought him through bladder cancer. No small feat, considering that my father had numerous other severe conditions to consider. I recommend him without reservation to anyone in need of a urologist.

Dr. Parkhurst treats my interstitial cystitis, I've been with him since I was 16 years of age and I am currently 29. He is a great doctor, he takes alot of time to talk with me and anytime I have exacerbation of IC symptoms hes on top of it! Office staff; ehhh His wife is the MA in his bethany office, shes the rudest and most hateful person I've ever me. I've been told by staff personally she runs off everyone they hire, and that Dr. Parkhurst does not offer health insurance for his employees and he starts at $9-$12 an hour on top of no insurance (hence no good staff.)

Great Doctor. Wish I had known about him long ago. He is a Good Man and a Fine Doctor! Words cannot tell the Kindness and the Expertise of this Doctor!

My husband and I have seen Dr Parkhurst for years. Dr Parkhurst is really nice and knowledgeable! But, his staff is a Joke! It takes forever when you have an appointment! They don’t know what they are doing, don’t call you back! It takes them a solid week to get results from a urine test! Just talked to one of his nurses who left me on hold for 10-15 minutes! They are just so unorganized and unprofessional and ignorant! We are looking for a better urologist close to Yukon!

Horrible!! Staff is very unprofessional! Rude! They do not return calls or setup return appointments! Horrible experience!

Dr. Parkhurst has treated me both for OAB and kidney stones. My first uro did nothing about my kidney stones. But Dr. Parkhurst has them tested and when they started to move did surgery quickly to remove them. Now he is trying to help me keep anymore from forming.

Dr. Parkhurst office sent my blood work out of network. I received a bill form Apollo Laboratories for $828 as the lab that the blood was sent to was in Dallas and not in network for BC-BS. DLO could have done the lab work and my payment would have been $0. I personally talked to Dr. Parkhurst and Apollo labs neither business will fix the problem. Doctors and Laboratories can afford to correct the mistakes they make but they prefer to pass it on to the patient. Incompetence never again!!!!!!!!!

The worst experience imaginable! Besides running more tests than should have been needed Dr Parkhurst specified I needed blood tests. 4 months later I got a bill for almost $1300 as the lab that the blood was sent to was in Dallas and not in network for BC-BS. DLO could have done the lab and my payment would have been under $20. Now I owe a bill for more than my retirement check. I should have been told the lab in his office was not in network. Unethical doesn't begin to describe this Dr.

I have had both kidney and prostate issues and Dr. Parkhurst's treatment of me has been excellent and the level of care from his team is outstanding.

I have gone to Dr. Parkhurst for over 20 years. He is the only urologist I trust. He has helped me to be free of kidney stones for many years at a time, avoiding much pain and agony. If you have ANY urological problems, I recommend Dr. Parkhurst.
