I have been seeing Dr. Richards for some time now. I find him very responsive to all of my questions. He explains fully what he is doing and doesn’t rush me out of the office. My primary care physician recommended him and I am very pleased with my treatment.

I have been a patient for a long time. I like the way that he takes time with his patients, makes the appropriate recommendations on how to manage your pain but leaves the decision up to you. He listens to the patients wants and needs, always giving his professional opinion and not forcing a treatment on you. The staff is the best! They are kind and couldn't be better to the patients making a great impression on a first-time patient, and very professional as well.

Excellent at giving injections. Those are your choices, cortisone injections, lidocaine trigger injections, oral steroids, physical therapy, anti-depressants or nerve pain meds. It is very difficult to get an appt if you are in an acute state, either your GP or ER will have to suffice as you may have to wait 6 weeks or more while your laid up. They are not there for diagnosing but treating as far as I can tell. Doc is very friendly. Nurse practitioner, all business, matter of fact, she will give you one of the above and don't look for sympathy.

Don't go to this doctor, he doesn't care, he just want to give you injections with no explanation, after that he won't see you anymore, you will be seen by a nurse and it's true he will bill you the same as mentioned in other reviews. After 2 years I'm still in pain from the epidural injection that he gave me.

Poor - he has no bedside manner, doesn't explain the issue well and reverts to pain injections rather than trying to get a diagnosis to resolve the problem. Each other visit is with a nurse practitioner (but billed as a specialist co-pay), who just documents progress. 5 months in and no progress.

Limited relief from Dr Richards. The office is very rigid with rules, and wont cut you any breaks. And even with Covid, they do not even consider any tele-appointments (not counting any injections) even though its common nowadays. Would not give me strong pain meds even though i had an injection and 5 anti inflamatories previously and several visits. When someone in another review said Dr Richards is all about giving injections they were right. My insurance paid 2K for one injection, and this guy does them all day Thursday and Frday. Grant it they can potentially help, but they need to be far more understanding and FLEXIBLE with patients !! Also, they have a poor reputation/track record for calling back. Never pickup the phone, so you need to leave a message and get a call back. Sometimes the next day, sometimes never. So unacceptable customer service.

I'll say here what I wish I'd known before taking a half day off work to come here- they only want to do injections and surgery and don't want to prescribe pain meds. I had sudden onset of back spasms that compare only to childbirth in the absolute agony I landed in an ER due to concerned bystanders. I learned that about half the healthcare system will treat you like a manipulative liar and drug addict when you try to treat the problem. This practice is no different. Doctor rolled her eyes

Clearly picked the wrong field to specialize in. Referred for a herniated disc flare up for imaging scripts (I need an X-Ray & possibly a new MRI) & treatment plans like surgery. Did not answer questions, rushed the visit & acted like I was a pill seeker (didn't need/want meds) Doc says I do need an X-Ray, didn't give a script for it, had to call two days in a row to finally be told an X-Ray script will be mailed. Requested a note for work as I can't stand refused to write a note for the visit

One of the worst doctors I've ever seen. Poor diagnosis due to his ignorance and lack of caring for patients. Lucky for me, I got a second opinion.

Unfortunately there is no choice for zero stars. I called at 11:00 AM Friday to make an appointment; called again at 2:00 PM, 3:30 PM and 4:45 PM. I finally got a voicemail message at 5:00 PM Monday that said to call back to make an appointment, which I did, and of course I got the office message center yet again. I own a business where I am in contact with hundreds of people. I will do my best to steer everyone away from this office.
