I have seen Dr Schenck since 2013 and this is my 5th surgery with him. He is a great surgeon and personable guy. He has always discussed my treatment options with me and given me choices for treatment of my orthopedic problems. He is busy like most orthopedic providers, but when it vomes to surgery, he is one of the best in my opinion. I am currently recovering from a total knee replacement which he recommended I get done a year ago, and I finally decided to do the surgery and am doing well, glad I finally took his advice and got it done!

Absolutely would not hesitate to refer family or friends to Dr Schenck for any of his specialties. He is a down to earth person, highly knowledgeable and is not quick to operate. He is pretty conservative and will do what he can to avoid taking you into surgery. He spends whatever time you need to answer all your questions. You do not feel rushed and he doesn’t “tense up” like most doctors do because they want to rush out to the next patient. He explains your case very well to you and kindly tells it like it is.

This was my 2nd hip replacement (left hip replaced 6 yrs ago), and Dr Schenk was very proactive with getting it authorized as quickly as possible, as well as constantly staying in touch with me prior to my surgery. Dr Schenk, and the team at Oregon Surgical Institute, made my surgery as enjoyable an experience as a surgery could be. Should I have further need for any Orthopedic surgeries or treatments, I will definitely be scheduling with Dr Schenck at the Oregon Sports Medicine Clinic.

Dr. Schenck is very thorough. Willing to spend the necessary time with you and make sure you understand every detail about the procedure. Office is very efficient and very little wait time. Would get the other knee surgery done with him when it is time

Dr. Schenck has done 2 knee replacements and repaired very badly torn rotator cuff on 1 shoulder. If he could be my PCP I would love it. Actually I love my PCP just as much as I love Dr. Schenck. Great surgeon; listens well; explains everything and answers all my questions. Totally fixed my really badly torn rotator cuff and was super conservative in my recovery. I would highly recommend him for his expertise, bedside/office manner & for just being a really nice person!??

Dr Schenck is a very likable guy and he is concerned about you and how you are doin, he told me about other options and explained the pros and cons of them. If I had a question he would answer it in terms I understood. I am very satisfied with my surgery and he is going to do the knee replacement for my wife.

Dr. Schenck cost me thousands of dollars in surgeries, physical therapy, medications, and emotional trauma from an incorrect surgery. I repeatedly told him something was wrong, and his reaction was to roll his eyes at me and tell me that "physical therapy is supposed to hurt." If I had not gone to another surgeon for a second opinion, his decision to ignore my questions and shove narcotics at me could have cost me my life. For the sake of yourself and your loved ones, choose another doctor.

Dr. Schenck is the best surgeon I have ever met. My hip was bone on bone and also fractured. Dr. Schenck took one look at my x-rays and said he could replace the hip and take care of the problem. I have friends who have had hip replacement surgery. My results after surgery were awesome compared to some of the experiences I have heard about. In addition to being very competent, he is also one of the kindest doctors I've ever known. I would recommend him with confidence to anyone.

You never want to hear that your broken bone is going to require surgery, but if you find yourself in that position, I highly recommend Dr. Schenck and his staff of professionals. Although my treatment did not require extensive follow up, I felt listened to, prepared about what to expect, and that my time was valued.

Excellent doctor, honest and totally trustworthy. I needed two knees and one hip replaced as all were bone on bone and very painful. We were able to get me prepped with physical therapy. The surgeries were all completed in one year - left knee replaced in February, right hip in July and right knee in October. Dr. Schenck and I worked out the plan that included his team to support the surgeries and physical therapy after each one. GREAT DOCTOR!!

I was injured at work with an unstable fracture. He got me in the next day between surgeries and we made a plan to fix my arm on Monday. The visit was on Thursday, no making me wait with a very painful condition. Always makes sure your pain is manageable.

Dr. Schenck was addiment that I must get surgery, even though I was opposed. I have seen two experienced orthopedic specialists since, both of whom recommended that surgery was not necessary and that there was a good chance I would heal on my own. I don't trust Dr. Schenck and feel that he wanted to perform surgery before even giving me a chance to heal. Office and staff are nice but I would never recommend this Dr to anyone.
