Though I hope that I never have to cross paths again with Dr. Wolpert again (strictly because I hope to avoid additional surgeries), if the need were to arise I would happily work with him again. He was no-nonsense, yet kind, and solved my probably efficiently. I am grateful!

I literally was in and out of my "exam" with him in 5 min. Scary when you consider this was for a surgery consult-decision. He truly didn't even exam me at all. He came in, asked about 7 questions, and said "let's get this scheduled". NO exam. Nothing about scheduling a CT to confirm location, size or anything. I was NOT at all comfortable with him. He acted like he was in a rush and had not time for my questions or concerns. It worried me that he didn't even talk about a CT or any other type of diagnostic, but just wanted to get it scheduled. I revisited my Primary Care for Internal Medicine, who became very concerned about my consult and referred me to someone else instead. THAT doctor did an exam with me and spent 30 min going over what he felt it was and what my options are. He scheduled a CT, then scheduled another followup visit to go over the CT scans with me and come to a decision of course of action with me.

I had emergency surgery and Dr. Wolpert was there seeing another patient when I was in the ER. One of the ER staff asked him to consult on my case and he said he would perform the surgery right away as it was unlikely I would survive until morning. thanks to him I not only survived until morning but am still going strong, almost 3 years later.

Recommended by pain Doc, whom I love. Trying to be as concise as possible. May 19th=infection, June 1st=horrible pain lower rt quadrant. TESTING galore. Went to Wolpert. I knew appendix & lesions. I knew exploratory lap. needed. He said haughtily, "let's wait 2 weeks and visit it again then". WHAT? Made appt w/my surgeon. Agreed, found HUGE lesions & ACUTE APPENDICITIS. Listen to your patients Doc. They know their body. I knew you didn't believe me. Your haughtiness could have killed me.
