Dr. Dowell saved my thyroid! When the NP at my endocrinologist told me removing the whole thyroid and being on replacement drugs for the rest of my life, I was frightened. I chose to have the nodules biopsied and found they were benign. After a little digging, with no help from my GP or endocrinologist, I found out about RFA for benign thyroid nodules. My nurse friend, Karol, talked to her Doc about options and they recommended Dr. Dowell. Thyroid nodule RFA is relatively new in the US. The nodules can shrink up to a year after the procedure. At 7 months after, the large nodule is 50% of what it once was. Thank you Dr. Dowell, Jennifer and the rest of the staff. Highly recommend those with benign nodules seeking treatment from him!

Dr. Dowell is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions. This procedure decreased a lot of my agonizing symptoms. Wish I had this procedure done earlier.The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this doctor and his practice.

I was out of town when I fell ill and diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on my liver. Upon my return to Indpls Dr Dowell performed a biopsy and found I had a primary liver cancer. A team was assembled and Dr Dowell performed an embolization prior to my surgery. His follow up and coordination with my surgeon and oncologist ensured a prompt surgery and care plan. Very grateful to have been able to have Dr Dowell on my team

Seeing me after a positive procedure, Dr. Dowell was very compassionate in listening to my concerns and praises. He took the time to reassure me that the treatment of my present condition was going in a positive direction. He took the time to hear ME. Then, took the time to reassure ME. ME, the patient. Dr. Dowell also makes the post op phone call to his patience to find out how they are doing.

Dr. Dowell is really polite, caring, and very knowledgeable about his work. He really takes the time to answer the patients questions and doesn't make them feel rushed. Also, he calls after the procedure to check on his patient.
