Dr. Joshua Hvidding, MD

I’m not sure what everyone else’s exact experience was but mine was exactly what I needed. I was in a very vulnerable position and needed a psychiatrist that would just pay attention to me and listen. The doctor was very well bedside mannered and was sympathetic of my situation, something my other doctor was not. We did have issues at first connecting because of technical difficulties with the site which is maybe why others are reviewing so low. I would suggest this doctor to anyone that needs psychiatric guidance.

Horrible Experience - was left waiting. He showed up and the exited the appointment leaving me without contact. I got an email saying clinician cancelled the appointment 30 minutes after the start time. Never experienced something so unprofessional while trying to get help.

He was on time and listened carefully. I'm not sure about others experience but mine was great! I showed up he called and, was online at our appointment time. It was fast easy and I got my meds same day.

“Doctor” Hvidding did not show for my appointment then lied & claimed he couldn’t get in touch with me. I was waiting in both the mobile & desktop portal. I don’t like giving bad reviews. Never had that happen, unprofessional.

I’ve had super bad experiences with psychiatrists in general. Dr Hvidding took the time to listen and he was actually paying attention to what I was saying. I had read a lot of his reviews and was incredibly anxious about my appointment with him, but I did not have the same experience. And I’m grateful. I finally felt heard and understood, which is more than I can say about a lot of doctors. I feel like I am on a journey to getting my sleep back on schedule and my anxiety hopefully under control.

i had gone to an appointment for my anxiety meds and it took 10 minites for the first visit. he had prescribed me propanol for an as needed anxiety medication. my uncle who is a pharmacist filled my medication and expressed to me he was concerned about me taking that medication due to the side effectes it can have and to suggest buspirone instead. when bringing this to his attention he the belittled my family. he asked me ?do you know what you have to do to become a pharmacist? you dont even have to go to college? i told him i was open to trying a different as needed medication i just wasnt comfortable taking the one he had orginially prescribed. he then advised me if i was going to have my family involved in my medication he was not going to be comfortable continuing to treat me. i dont blame him if hes worried about not paying attention or reviewing side effects (such as cannot operate heavy machinery) with his patients. this dr is dangerous, rude, and inconsiderate. be cautious.

He never showed up for the appointment.

Wish I actually knew how good or bad of a doctor he is. Never kept a single appointment!

Dr. Hvidding seemed to be driving while we were connected during telehealth, he did not even have his camera on. The meeting was ~8 minutes long, and although I didn't have to pay his sessions are $250 each. He does not seem interested in me as a patient and didn't follow up on my concerns or discuss other issues I reported. Please look for another provider who is willing to give you the time of day. Makes not want to meet again, as I know it will by probably a ~5 min 'check-in' to snag another $250.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Joshua Hvidding, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Dr. Hvidding was about five minutes late for our appointment, which was not a significant issue. However, once we started the session, I found him to be very impatient and unprofessional. He did not seem to be actively listening to me and appeared disinterested in my concerns. To my surprise, Dr. Hvidding abruptly ended the appointment after less than ten minutes, stating that he would call me to continue our conversation. He called me ten minutes later, but instead of continuing our discussion, he talked about unrelated topics that were not helpful or relevant to my situation. Overall, I was disappointed with Dr. Hvidding's lack of professionalism and care during our appointment. I cannot recommend him to anyone seeking psychiatric care and would advise others to look elsewhere for a provider who will listen and provide the appropriate level of care.

Most awful appointment with a psychiatrist. 12 min telehealth visit. He was not attentive at all. Seemed not to be listening. Maybe it's why he misreported so many things in the visit summary. I said I was suicidal. In the visit summary he reports I wasn't. Also reports denied any attempts; I told him I did as a teen. He didn't even bother to ask any further questions. One of the first things I said to him was I've had trouble sleeping and barely slept. His summary shows I denied any insomnia. My MDD was previously classified as severe. He reported moderate. I was distressed, depondent and anxious. All he used to describe my mood was "sad." Seems like he doesn't like to bother with details. To me, it is a total misrepresentation of the important parts of my visit. Zero compassion; horrible bedside manner. I'd give a zero if I could. I'm reporting him to the medical board. He is DANGEROUS

Dr. Hvidding prescribed me a medication could have a major and potentially life-threatening interaction with another medication that he had prescribed without informing me. The pharmacy refused to fill the prescription and called him for clarification. Dr. Hvidding refused to make a simple 2 minute phone call to the pharmacist without scheduling another appointment because apparently his time is too valuable. He obviously doesn't care about the well-being of his patients. Definitely avoid.

Dr rescheduled my appointment for 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment on the same day of the appointment. I was working long hours and did not see the email. This was completely inconsiderate of my time, and I was very disappointed. I got charged the missed appointment fee, even though I did not agree to the changes made to the appointment. Its crazy that the rescheduling terms do not apply to the doctor.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I had an appointment to be seen as a new patient and the Dr didn't even show. I attempted logging on 2min before my appointment and continued to try until 6min after my appointment should've started. Each time I got an error message stating that the Dr was no longer available. Why wouldn't you be available for a SCHEDULED appointment, especially given that my first attempt to join was before my scheduled time? I sent a message to the Dr and 15min later I recieved a notice stating I had missed my appointment and was being charged a $40 no show fee. I should've done my research on this Dr before scheduling my appointment. Seems like NO ONE has a pleasant experience with him.

Reschedule my appointment an hour and a half before I was suppose to see him. Made the appointment 30 minutes prior to the agreed upon time. When I could not make it to the appointment at the rescheduled time I was charged a $40 missed appointment fee.

Pretty bed experience. Dr asked me only standard questions and prescribed medicine. However doctor did not provide me instructions how the prescribed medicine is compatible with my current treatment. When I sent him s message asking to clarify the instructions, Dr Joshua replied that if I want any further information I need to schedule new appointment. When I politely asked again to provide instructions via messaging system, doctor did not even bothered to reply
