Bad Experience
Telehealth
I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Dr. McConkey on MD-Live. Rather than listening to my concerns and considering my medical history, I was quickly dismissed with a generic diagnosis of “viral” without any real discussion. When I questioned this based on my past experiences, the conversation turned into a power trip rather than a professional consultation.A good doctor should prioritize patient care over their years of experience or status. Fortunately, I reached out to another service provider who treated me with professionalism and respect—exactly what every patient deserves. If you’re looking for a doctor who actually listens and provides thoughtful care, I recommend finding someone else.

Awful
This Dr is very condescending and awful bedside manner and poor patient treatment. I get frequent strep throat infections and my son was just diagnosed with strep and I know what the signs and symptoms are. He told me to treat it with ibuprofen and elderberry and untreated strep can damage you're heart but antibiotics are dangerous too. Seems like you’re heart is kinda important. Every other provider I have seen in the past treats strep with antibiotics including my ENT and he said I could follow up with him in 2 days. Why in the world would I follow up with him again and spend another $80 when a nurse practitioner has more knowledge of how to treat strep throat infections then this “doctor” does. When you feel sick it’s not a lot of fun to deal with a provider of this skill level.

Very pompous condescending God complex type attitude. He questioned my knowledge as a mother and knowing my child's medical history. This appnt was within hours a catastrophic natural disaster hitting my area and he had zero care about having an ill child during this time. He couldn't get off the phone fast enough.
