That was exactly the care I received by Dr. Joshua Sasine at Cedars Sinai hospital. What impressed me most, was that he is well read and involved/aware of the latest studies and treatments to make me better. He is personally connected to cancer experts globally. In a kind, patient way, he thoroughly explained to me my cancer situation, the latest treatment options available, the treatment odds and likely longevity of each. He, together with the other experienced doctors on his Cedars Sinai team, my local oncologist and I, made a treatment plan just for me. It is working fabulously. Dr. Sasine, or another doctor from his team came to my private room every day to review my progress and tweak my meds depending on my “numbers”. I honestly felt enveloped by a wise and deeply caring crew, led by Dr. Sasine. Couldn’t have gone better!

Dr. Sasine is the best physician I've ever had in my 38 years. He goes above and beyond to help his patients understand their treatments and manage their expectations related to their symptoms and reactions. He is the only doctor I've ever had that is readily available by email and phone, which is key when you need some guidance about how to manage your nausea from chemo or are feeling quite awful. Thankfully, I am now in remission - I highly recommend him and have recommended him to my friends with blood disorders.

Dr. Sasine has been my hematologist for the past 4 years. Dr. Sasine is an exceptional doctor who has a great bedside manner. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything in detail. He is also a good listener who pays attention to his patients' concerns and questions. Reading his notes and after care summaries, I know Dr. Sasine is organized and detail-oriented, ensuring that his patients receive the best possible care. He is empathetic and compassionate towards his patients, understanding their feelings and emotions and providing them with the support they need. I went to see Dr. Sasine for treatment of my cancer. My family and I traveled from Hawaii to have the procedure, because only two hospitals in the nation would perform the procedure without blood. I found Dr. Sasine to be very respectful and knowledgeable regarding my condition and treatment. He answered all my questions and concerns with patience and kindness. I was very satisfied with the treatment I received. One year later, as I find myself in remission, I am so very grateful to Dr. Sasine for his treatment and expertise. I highly recommend Dr. Sasine.

I have been under Dr. Sasine's care since January 10, 2023. Since day one he has been very professional and kind. He is one of the few doctors that is very responsive to my needs and concerns when I have a problem. He values communication with his patients and it has shown since day one. Not only does he have extensive knowledge in the field to diagnose and treat the disease accurately, Dr. Josh Sasine & his team at Cedars is also genuinely caring and compassionate in a way that provided me with confidence that I can fight this cancer. And I think that kind of high quality compassionate care from your doctor and his team is important in many different aspects in the process of cancer treatment. Dr. Sasine is very polite and fully present during clinic hours and listens actively to your questions and concerns and spends as much time answering any questions. I’ve never felt rushed during clinic hours. I’ve always felt valued and respected and comfortable.

Dr. Sasine is a very attentive and compassionate person and doctor. He listens to what I or a family member has to say and takes it to heart, researches any questions or new test results, and takes it into serious consideration when making decisions about my care. He also will call me any time he receives test results. I highly recommend this doctor because of his caring and attention to details.

Dr. Sasine is an outstanding doctor. My first appointment with him made all the difference in how I managed my Hogkin Lymphoma diagnosis. He thoroughly explained the condition, treatment options, and all future exams and medications. My first appointment lasted over 45 minutes, to which he included one of my children by phone to be part of the conversation. I have been under his treatment and trust his expertise, exceptional rapport and follow up. He answers all phone calls and emails within the same day. My family and I feel very blessed to have Dr. Sasine on our team.

Dr. Sasine treated me for a serious and comparatively rare blood disorder. From the first, I've found him to be an outstanding physician and a thoughtful and reassuring guide through the treatment of a complicated and frequently scary disease. Without ever talking down, he explained my disease and potential courses of treatment, answered my many questions, and pointed me to sources of additional information. A laboratory scientist as well as a clinician, he stays abreast of the latest medical studies and doesn't shy away from pointing patients to the literature if they're curious to read it for themselves. And he's consistently reachable and happy to make time. In more than a year of treatment--in and out of the hospital--I've been struck again and again by his intelligence and warmth; he's a nice person. No one wants to be in the position of having to see an oncologist; but I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Sasine.

We had one of the worst experiences with Dr Joshua Sasine. A few days ago, I accompanied my husband for an exam with Dr. Joshua Sasine, which was ordered by his doctor. My husband, as a man, felt he was belittled, laughed at, and humiliated by the incredibly & unprofessional Dr Sasine, who told him to "switch deodorants and laundry detergents" and "get used to" his pain, and to "join the club." He implied that he probably did drugs because his condition could be caused by them, even though it can be caused by many different factors aside from that. He was incredibly upset and hurt and cried because of the treatment he received form Dr. Joshua Sasine. After spending 5 years in the Marines, there's no way he could have been doing drugs! Don't send people you care about to see Dr. Joshua Sasine, especially veterans, this Doctor has no moral or respect for terminally-ill patients and their loved ones.

Dr. Sasine is an amazing doctor who not only has a great approach to his patients but has extensive knowledge and expertise in the research and treatment of blood disorders. A positive, proactive and practice approach to the science of medicine and the application of specific treatments and support of diseases if the blood. A plus, top notch doctor with a caring and graceful bedside manner as a true professional in his field.

A very dear friend of mine has recently started treatments under the care of Dr. Sasine. She is very satisfied with his care and expertise.
