Vague, Unclear
Dr. Woelk is vague and dismissive in pre-surgery consult, leaving me feeling underprepared and unclear on what would happen during the surgery, as well as expected positive outcomes and possible risks. He did not talk with my family face to face after the surgery, instead calling them on the phone while they sat down the hall from the OR. He talked with them for under a minute. In contrast, other surgeons went to the waiting room and discussed surgical outcomes with family members in person, at length.

I saw Dr Woelk for a prolapse. He recommended a robotic hysterectomy with mesh. I had the surgery a couple of months ago and all is going well. I think Dr Woelk has a great personality, is a good listener and was prepared to meet with me and my husband to go over the many questions and concerns we had. I would recommend him as a surgeon.

I'd really like to give negative star's but can't. Did not communicate with me that he was willing to help with a surgery I need even telling me I didn't need it, years later he did it again. His office staff made me wait 4 1/2 hours to see him. When I complained about that I was literally given a $10.00 gift card for mine and my oca's time. Very unprofessional, uncaring and cannot communicate with patients. I wouldn't and will not recoment him to anyone for surgery procedures.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Woelk. He put me at ease, listened to all of my concerns, and answered all of my questions. In addition, the treatment plan he recommended was appropriate for the symptoms I was experiencing.
