NOTE: My husband gives his permission for me to write this endorsement. On May 6, 2017, Dr. Bowen examined my husband for injuries sustained in a vehicular accident (SUV and truck) a few hours earlier. She ordered a CT scan to check out pain in his side. What she and the radiologist discovered was a lung tumor. Call the accident and ER exam divine intervention, as you choose but the doctors' intense interest and thorough workup helped save his life. Dr. Bowen seemed very professional in her work. We are NOVANT patients and listen very carefully to our health care providers from the clerical staff to the most accredited doctors. I say this nowbecause there have been times when the stresses of my life and health issues rendered me an uncooperative patient, compromising my opportunity for thorough medical care. At the ER what we experience and perceive is far from the total situation. ER staffers give more than most of us could ever endure in order to improve the lives of patients.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. This may be the last thing I type as I'm sitting in my car outside the ER after being discharged by her after my primary care dr ordered me to the hospital to see an endocrinologist. I have a nodule on my thyroid, I can barely swallow or eat anything, it's hard to breathe, I'm so fatigued I can barely walk.. & she didn't even touch me once to examine me. I have lymph nodes swollen on the right side of my neck that were NOT swollen 2 days ago during my last ER visit. I was left for 3 hours alone in the hospital room without a nurse checking on me or giving me fluids or the antibiotics I needed for a UTI I also have. I can't even drive home. I'm stuck in this parking lot & I don't know how to see an endocrinologist without waiting months, it may be too late by then. I'm a single mother of 2 that need me & she just sent me off to drive when I can barely swallow or breathe. I think I'm dying of Graves. Nobody ever go to this ER if you want to live
