Yes you can get in the same week you call, why? Because no one goes back! Went in for some symptoms and he immediately told me with a straight face that I was low on a vitamin. Ok. He’s a Dr. so I went on my way and took supplements, he said it can take a year to clear up. Decided to check on the test site to see the results. The initial “low vitamin”wasn’t even below the low level! Then referred me to the wrong specialist, waste of 4 months. Was on the phone to make an appointment to get a referral for another specialist and lost connection. They never answered the calls from my number the rest of the day. This place is a joke. I called from a coworkers phone and they answered immediately. Once I asked the front desk girl a question and she didn’t answer it, just repeated herself until I gave up. In the portal it shows my symptoms as “dizziness and giddiness” Very professional Good luck to anyone looking for actual help.

Very rude Staff
The staff are very rude and unprofessional. In person as well as on the phone. If you have a reaction to any medication, it says to call your doctor. When you call, all they say is just go to the emergency room. They act as if who cares, we already have your money. It's almost as if they are not real Medical professionals at all. I don't recommended this place to anyone. Please for your Health stay away.

Absolutely the worst office staff experience I've ever experienced with a doctor. They never answer phones, the voicemail box is always full, and even when reached after multiple call attempts day after day, requests for call back from billing are never returned. They coded my family's physicals incorrectly (first time visitors) and now are attempting to charge us $225 each for routine , preventative care that should have been covered in full by our insurance, but never return calls to resolve the issue. Yet, they keep sending bills of course. I will be finding a new doctor and will have to physically drive over there to speak with someone - huge waste of time and money, do not choose this practice for your primary care needs, they have terrible service and obviously don't care for their patients.

Dr. Gonzalez has been my Internist for five years. He listens and explains everything thoroughly. He has helped me to understand what the specialists prescribe and recommend. I depend on his medical advice and am grateful to him and his staff. Kudos to Amanda.

This doctor has a terrible office staff. Time after time they have forgotten to call in medication for me causing extreme discomfort. I don’t know if they are simply incompetent or understaffed but I highly recommend staying far away from this office.

its unbelievable that i was told that my husband cannot see doctor gonzalez until 2 weeks from now and no doctor was left to fill in for patients. were requesting a refural to a specialist immediately due to him having a tumor in his large intestine that needs to be removed as soon as possible. we cannot wait 2 weeks due to the circumstances but when we called the receptionist suggested we just find another pcp. unbelievable !! totally disgusted with her comment.

This Dr. is amazing! Super intelligent! Best bedside manner I’ve seen. I would recommend him to anyone with chronic health problems. The whole office staff is very kind!

It's a wonderful experience to be in Dr. Gonzalez's office. The receptionist, Ashley, is very friendly and efficient. The lab technician, Donovan, helped me so much both when he did my lab work as well as explaining the results. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Laurie gave me my vitals, and she even asked me if I wanted to write down the readings. She too was top notch. Dr. Gonzalez is very informative, patient, and kind--a true professional. I'd give the entire place an A plus.

The staff is incompetent, they don't follow through w/ getting medication prior-auths done, EXTREMELY RUDE!! They NEVER return phone calls. They treat patient like a number. Amanda is the office manager & she cuts you off mid-sentence. I have NEVER experienced a doctors office as rude & incompetent as what their office is at Dr. Juan Gonzales, San Antonio, TX Fredericksburg Rd). Dr. Gonzales is rude. Also, they have sewer issues & won't alliow patients to go #2 if they need to, only #1. Weird!

Dr González is a good doctor, I have been a patient for more ten years. Its sad to say the doctor has allowed his staff to take over. Amanda the office manager does not give the doctor a message, return patient calls or texts for refills on medicine, provide any customer service. The staff definitely lacks customer service and when called makes every request to be impossible. Major attitude problem.

Dr. Gonzalez is one of the best general practitioners/internists I have ever had. Living in good cities with great medical doctors across the Midwest and Southwest, Dr. Gonzalez is by far the best so far in listening, caring and effectively treating conditions. I highly recommend him and am grateful to have him as my doctor of choice. Small office, great staff and same day appointments. How often do you get a trifecta like that in medical care.

I came here to get treatment for gout and they had me do my blood work on site with their phlebotomists and without me knowing they sent my blood to quest which is not covered by my insurance. My insurance only covers CPL and the office staff knows this because in the past it's always gone through CPL. Now I have two huge bills from quest because of their office mistakes. I am not happy and I will never go back because this is wrong and I'm sure I'm not the only victim with this business.

Very polite and to the point on how he can help you. Very impressed on how experienced he is in his profession. I mention a condition or medication, etc., and he is quick to answer. I owe him a lot, he was there to help me when the VA wasn't.
