Dr. Contreras was our physician at the hospital. On first consult, he suggested we schedule an MRI, and we agreed. The next day, in follow-up, we asked when the procedure would be - Dr. Contreras said he had never suggested MRI, he had not discussed it with us, and we must have spoken to someone else. I asked again, did he not remember the discussions of the test and again, told us it was not him and we were mistaken. We spoke to only one physician on the MRI and results at the hospital - at that time we requested another physician and we would not see him again.

I happen to work with Dr. C at Centennial and know the specifics of Ms. Sema Nami's complaint. (not her real name) Let's just say that her complaint is vengeful, without merit and unfair. Interesting how she can attack a person, but not be courageous enough to use her real name. The American Heart Association would love to hear about your tactics ; )

This is the worst doctor I've ever had- and I've seen several while I had a chronic condition. He would say one thing & then do another. We'd agree on a plan of treatment, then he'd change things without informing me. I'd stay as far away from this doctor as possible. I had him at Centennial hospital in Frisco and was frustrated during my entire stay. He had the worst bedside manners and was very condescending while addressing me. Not fit to be a doctor at all.

When I began seeing Dr Contreres two years ago, I was pleased with the care I was given. However, in the last year the quality of care has dramatically decreased. His staff is ineffective and at times discourteous. I have been kept waiting as long as an hour in a patient room. I was 13 minutes late for my appointment today and he refused to see me. I am leaving his practice and would not recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr. Contreras is a truly compassionate doctor who listens to you especially if you have a difficult and complicated history like I do.. I am only 38 but have had over 11 ortho surgeries and Dr. Contreras is the first doctor to link all my surgeries to undiagnosed RA. I am so thankful after 15 plus years of suffering with this disease to finally but on a treatment path. I have had a slow progress with the meds so far but I am extremely confident in the the treatment plan he has prescribed.

Dr. Contreras is a pleasant man and does listen. However, there is a standard treatment protocol used, and when it didn't work, we began a trial-and-error process searching for solutions over a 2 yr period without success. His office staff is temperamental and unprofessional, and communicating with the Dr outside of an appt is limited to leaving msgs and inconvenient patient portal updates. Twice asked to have Dr. Contreras call me to address concerns and I received no returned phone calls.

He may be a wonderful Doctor but his appointment staff is terrible. I asked when was the first available new patient appointment and her next question was who is you insurance provider and is it a PPO I said no it isn't she said sorry no appointments until September with a quick thank you please hold so I hung up. My sister called back and she was asked the same questions she answered PPO and she said let me check and she hung up.

I would recommend Dr Juan Contreras to anyone looking for a compassionate DR who cares and doesn't treat you like a number just passing through. He genuinely takes the time to listen and find the best course of action to take for your care, and even refer you to other Dr's to work as team when need be. I am so happy I found a GREAT DR when I moved to N.TX!
