Patient BEWARE
PLEASE think twice before seeking varicose vein surgical treatments with Dr. Parra and his clinic. I ended up with a bacterial infection caused by the surgery, as well as severe inflammation, an allergic reaction and more complications. Dr. Parra and his team made many claims to be the best and only place in the area for these procedures and the related ultrasounds. This is simply not true. They bragged a lot about how easy and painless it would be to do the venaseal procedure (gluing your veins shut), and it WAS NOT. The procedure HURT during, I had an allergic reaction right after....all up and down my leg with hives, THEN it got worse and I developed severe inflammation and a bacterial infection inside the vein that landed me in the ER! The picture below was taken at the ER, and that redness was swollen like crazy, hard and hot to the touch and incredibly painful to move, bend or walk. All along the way, Dr. Parra seemed wholly UN-concerned, and would not even call me back.

Dr. Parra scheduled me for 10:30am and didn't see me until after 2:30pm. I was told this is common for Dr. Parra. This was for a colonoscopy, so I hadn't eaten anything for almost 40 hours by the time they got me in.

He removed my gallbladder. Dr. Parra is very professional and kind. He is thorough and explains every step carefully and with detail. I first met Dr. Parra in the Gritman ER. I was in severe pain and he knew to stop pressing on my abdomen. Dr. Parra greeted me just prior to surgery as nurses were wheeling me into the operating room. The follow up exam went well, too.

Dr. Parra is extremely kind and knowledgeable. I like that he takes the time to listen and answer my questions. He also has a very nice sense of humor. I highly recommend him and he has my utmost respect.
