Dr. Juan Vargas, MD

Dr. Vargas has good bedside manner and is friendly, however, he is too lax in his treatment. I relayed to him on several occasions that I was concerned about my hypertensive results (when taken at home) and requested a urine test to gauge my protein levels. It was ignored. Luckily, Dr. Vargas was unavailable for a routine prenatal visit and I was scheduled with a midwife. She listened to my concerns and tested my urine. Low and behold, my instincts were correct and I was put on immediate bed rest and delivered my baby via c-section a few days later. Also, don't expect him to return your messages. It was a hit or miss when I got a response. Side note: in the hospital, a few Obgyn rounded post op including Dr. Vargas. I could really tell the difference of care compared to the other two obgyns. It was really apparent the disregard he had for my treatment plan.

First time meeting with the doctor and his nurse. I was nervous about my health issues, but Dr Vargas took his time explaining everything to me which made me feel much better. Before the procedure he explained what it entails and what I needed to do after. It’s awesome when you have a doctor who really are concerned about your health problems and making sure the right things are done to help you heal.

Dr.Vargas has shown Professionalism to the Highest,each visit.He has listened to all my concerns with and has clarified all information that I was unclear to Me.I always recommend my friends & family to him!The nurses and staff is very Professional,also. He gets 5 stars from Me.I love my doctor.He is truly the best doctor I have had in my life!I can go on & on about Dr.Vargas great qualities.hos mannerisms,& his Professionalism!All God's Blessings To Dr.Vargas!

Dr. Vargas, talks a great game but when it came down to it, he was clueless. He operated on me without a full understanding of my situation and as a result my life was almost cut short. Thankfully, I listened to my body and not Vargas, and went to New Orleans and recieved proper lifesaving treatment.

I had an appointment scheduled and the office called me on the way to the appointment (15 minutes prior) to try to reschedule my appointment because Dr. Vargas had a meeting. The last time I checked meetings are scheduled ahead of time so they could have been able to give a more advanced notice. This was complete unprofessional and a simply sorry did not suffice.

Absolutely wonderful doctor. Makes you feel very comfortable and listens to your concerns with an open heart and a sense of care. I would recommend this doctor to anyone. Never felt rushed or uncomfortable once. Dr. Vargas's passion as a doctor definitely shines through his personality and level of care.

Dr. Vargas is great, he explains everything thoroughly, he takes his time and answers all of your questions. He really puts you at ease, the staff that works for him, does a wonderful job as well.
