TBI, not so knowledgable in my case
Telehealth
Had my first Telehealth appointment today. I left feeling like the appointment was counter productive and wished now, I hadn't gone. He was more interested in my sleep habits than my TBI and how damage to the hypothalamus and pituitary was not relevant. Never addresses the 70 pound weight gain on less than 500 to 600 calories a day, how it had changed my thyroid replacement needed from 4 grains of thyroid replacement down to 1 - 100MCG T4 per day. Never addressed it at all!! could be why the 70 pound weight gain!! I don't think thyroid changes due to a TBI is his strong field. Too bad because I read all good things about him. He failed me just like the other doctors have. If they don't know, they blame it on something else.

Dr. Theriot is an excellent listener and he also answered all of my questions in doctor's vocabulary and then regular English. He is gracious and understanding and I feel very glad to have him on my Mom's team.
