Very disappointed with Cataract/Glaucoma surgery
Very disappointed with the work by Dr. Polat. Needed glaucoma/cataract surgery which Polat did. Before the surgery my vision was good- no problems seeing at all. As soon as I woke up from surgery, vision was bad, everything was and still is very dark. I thought it was just trauma.Every visit to Polat I told her of my great difficulty seeing. She ignored my comments, because I could read 1 letter at a time (slowly) from the eye chart. I cannot read any longer, cannot tell if something is dirty or clean, cannot read the dashboard in car, cannot read a clock, cannot tell if I’m approaching a man or woman when I take a walk (until they speak), cannot read a thermometer, etc. I’ve told her and told her of my terrible vision but she just ignores what I am saying.I was told that I would not need glasses. Need glasses for everything. Extremely disappointed with Cataract/Glaucoma Consultants/Dr. Polat. Retina Specialist told me Polat surgery responsible for dark/cloudy vision

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Polat?
After a series of several examinations with junior or subordinate members of the UPMC Ophthalmology staff, my visit conclude with an extremely brief (approximately three minutes) and superficial exam with Dr. Polat ... when she finaly decided to pull herself away from her computer screen and recognize my presence! My "exam", if one may call it that! An exercise in futility, carried out by a medical practitioner who seemed complete disinterested and appeared as though she was simply going through the motions perfunctorily.
