Stay away from her. Too bust to take on call msg when another DR. Covers her she will drop you as a patient

Terrible bedside manner
I would not recommend her to anyone. She has a terrible bedside manner. She walked in with a chip on her shoulder and knew what she was going to say like it was rehearsed. I was unable to ask questions or really speak for that matter. Focused on one small part of why I was there. I will never be back. I am extremely disappointed with her care. As a medical professional myself I was shocked by the negative attitude and lack of humility. Came across as cold and rude.

Doctor Would Not be my first choice
First, if you are going to go to Charleston Oncology, please plan for at least 2 times (if not 3 times) the amount of a normal appointment. If you need shots or an infusion during this same visit, you will need to plan for 4-5 hours which is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous that an appointment takes this much time. Dr Saylors is a well educated doctor, but our personalities did not connect, and after several monthly visits in a row, it was clear that this was not a good fit. I would recommend that others do a 'meet the doctor' appointment to be sure that you have a good fit between doctor and patient. I didn't follow my own advice, and quickly realized that her and I were not going to have the relationship I was looking for. I need a doctor who is a part of my team of experts, but a doctor who would take recommendations made by my other medical team members. Please keep looking!!!!!

I felt that while most patients wouldn't understand her method of questioning, I felt she was asking a wide variety of questions to generate a panoramic photo, if you will. That will allow Dr. Saylors to remove the portions that aren't relevant, so that she is able to train her focus on what IS important and provide prompt testing, resulting in quicker care. I think that we all know that the sooner a cancer related issue is treated, the better.
