Dr. Julia Stevenson, MD

Initial consult was in January. We discussed insurance. Was told Medicare is accepted. I ran around for a week to get labs and other testing done for the medical clearance that was requested for surgery. I was of the impression that insurance authorization was already approved. I later found out that the surgery was not yet authorized and that my appointment the following week with Dr. Stevenson was canceled because she left to go to the Super Bowl in New Orleans! Communication was a big issue! After the insurance authorization was obtained, Dr. Stevenson later told me no to doing surgery due to fear she would not be fully compensated. I asked twice, what is the cost of the surgery or her fee for the procedure? My question went unanswered each time. I felt disappointed as this was not what I expected. As a BC survivor this procedure was very important to me! No consideration was given to allow me to pay. Instead, I was told I will be charged $150 for the consult office visit.

Dr. Stevenson and her staff are simply amazing. If you are in the market for a quality and caring plastic surgeon then look no further! I am 3 months post-op and I could not be more satisfied with my results and the top-tier care I have received. All of my questions from the consultation, surgery, and aftercare were answered with no judgment and in the most timely and professional manner. Dr. Stevenson personally checks on you on the evening of your surgery to make sure you are not having any complications. Deanna taught me to have patience with my healing and to give myself some grace. She assured me that no question was too silly and it made my recovery process more assuring. I am so excited about my results as I continue to watch my body change and heal each day. I wish I could make Dr. Steveson my primary physician and see her for all of my medical needs! :) I am forever grateful to her and her staff! The weight has literally been lifted from off of my shoulders!

Dr. Stevenson was a fantastic surgeon. She took time to listen, gave realistic expectations, and is very friendly. Her bedside manner is wonderful and she made me feel completely comfortable. My scars healed beautifully and it looks like I never had surgery.

Excellent. Takes the time to LISTEN to you. Educates regarding options available for treatment and has a pleasant bedside manner.
