Great Doctor, Horrible Staff/Office
I have nothing but good things to say about Dr.Bauer, however the office staff is horrible. Overbooking appts so that both in office visits and televisits are an hour behind, won't respond to messages left via phone and they say that the best way to contact them is through the portal, but they don't respond to messages through there either. She really needs a much better office staff.

Best endocrinologist I've ever met
I've been seeing Dr. Bauer for about 10 years. At first I would drive over an hour to see her because she's just that good. Caring, thorough, professional. Luckily, now I live closer to her so I don't have to drive as far. She's extremely knowledgeable and has a kind bedside manner. I recommend her to everyone I know because she's just a great endocrinologist and truly cares about her patients.

Dr. Bauer literally save my life. She found a tumor that my Dr in south Florida didn’t. She also found an autoimmune disease. She was able to get both under control and I feel so much better. She spends quality time with her patients and truly cares about you and your family. I have referred my friends to her and they feel the same. Excellent staff!

Dr. Bauer, what can I say besides AMAZING. I have been with Bauer for many years and I she has been the most patient doctor I have know. Never gives up on you, listens and works with me, answers my questions, pays attention. She helps keep me on track. I've never felt healthier. The one thing I can say she never gives up on me and I'm glade to know that her and her assistant are always understanding and caring. Thank you Dr. Bauer & her right hand Assistant.

Dr. Bauer listens and works with me, answers my questions, pays attention. I'm by no means cured, but I'm always learning how to best manage my thyroid condition in a way with which I'm most comfortable. She's not a dictator and allows me to be a participant in my thyroid management. She helps keep me on track. I've never felt healthier.

Absolutely horrible office. Called to make an appointment. I am a type I insulin dependent diabetic. I went through Hurricane Michael and had to relocate here. I have not been able to see my doctor so I called to make an appointment with her. They told me I had to see a PCP first ad get a referral which could take weeks. I then asked for an office manager and I got an answering machine. No care for people or their lives and this is not the standard for medical care.

From the first day that I met Dr. Bauer I knew we would establish an excellent doctor/patient relationship. She listens attentatively and she made me feel as though she was concerned about my health. She allowed me to give input on any new medications that I may have seen on tv that I thought would work for me. I would recommend her to my family and friends. Her PA and ARNP are nice and helpful when I can't see her on short notice.

HORRIBLE!!!! Worst endocrinologist I've EVER seen, and I've been diabetic for 30 of the 40 years I've been alive. I'm a compliant patient, I have great A1C status. She DEMANDS superfluous office visits just to collect a copayment, and then REFUSES to renew lift-sustaining Rx if by chance you cannot make every 3-month appointment, and then tells you (and I'll quote: "...just go to the ER if you need more insulin." Wow. Never in my life have I had such a condescending and uncaring doctor.

Patient who will never return! in Ponte Vedra, FL – Jan 26, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Bauer?
Received call from my primary that referral was sent to Dr. Bauer's ofc on Nov 30, paperwork faxed. Followed up immediately only to be told they hadn't received it. Called my primary to confirm, primary assured time and date stamp on fax. Called Bauer's ofc (after recuperating from eye surgery 2 weeks later) told this time that my primary only faxed lab work and no referral. They needed ME to follow up with my primary Dr. I called my primary and requested they refer me to another Dr. Poor svce

Dr Bauer sent me twice to have a needle biopsy. Twice they were unable to get enough sample to make a diagnosis. My reports were posted on the patient portal, which I read. She twice insisted on making me come to her office for a redo referral at $200 plus a visit. I would not recommend this woman. Why should I have to pay for a redo? Why Dr. Bauer? I do not trust her & will not see her again!
