Dr. Julie Chatigny, DPM

Dr. Chatigny has changed my life. I’ve suffered from ankle pain for over 6 years. I’ve been in retail management for 42 years and have destroyed my feet working so much with an enormous amount of daily hours on my feet. She diagnosed my ankle problem immediately and has always been up front and honest 100%. She did multiple and ‘magical’ surgeries and I finally have never felt better. I m finally out of complete pain with no swelling. She was wonderful every visit to me And my entire family (my husband, 91 year old dad and 82 year old mom come to every office visit before And after surgeries. Her compassion for my family and her support to me enduring so much pain has been better than any treatment I could imagine. Her staff is so wonderful and efficient. The doctor herself is so good I drove from SLO to Templeton to see her for years. However the office staff, receptionist and "office manager" are rude and not patient centered at all. I will never go back.

Hard to get to talk to anyone. They never answer the phone but relay you to a totally unpleasant automated mechanical tone going on in our ear endlessly. Sound is terrible like a gong tone. Awful phone system.

After consultation, surgery on my heel was indicated. I asked Dr Chatigny if she needed X-rays, she said they would not help her. Big mistake! Against my better judgement I proceeded. After 6 months of pain and PT, I found a specialist in Santa Monica, first thing that dr did was to take X-ray AND MRI Second surgery was to correct her mistake. From the start the Achilles’ tendon should have been removed as to get to the heel bone correctly. Dr, Chatigny said she had a different technique, and that was to “sneak” around the tendon. University Foot and Ankle Institute in Santa Monica is THE ONLY PLACE TO GO !

Dr Chatigney has been an amazing physician for my daughter with her devastating bilateral heel injury! She is a super-communicative, hands-on doctor, who treats her patients (and family members) like they are ‘the only one!’ I cannot recommend her more highly!

Dr Chatigny is a knowledgeable, professional and kind doctor, a real gem and rarity on the Central Coast, a doctor who really cares about her patients. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She helped me after i sustained a really nasty big toe break and is continuing to help with issues related to my gait. Thank you so very much! Her medical assistant and office staff also are the greatest! I cannot thank them enough for the extra effort and enthusiasm they put forth helping patients.

I saw Dr. Chatigny for the first time today. What a great doctor! She obviously knows her stuff and she's a very good communicator. I like her staff and the office as well. Icing on the cake is the patient portal and appointment reminders via text, if desired. Highly recommended.

Dr. Chatigny, is pleasant, efficient, reliable and completely knowledable. I hope that some day she will start a practice in again San Luis Obispo.

Dr. Chatigny has been amazing throughout the treatment of my toe amputation. She is my favorite doctor and has gone above and beyond any doctor I have ever seen. Dr Chatigny diaignosed and treated my son With Autism and did an excellent job! She always took the time to explain the issue and treatments and even saw him on an hours notice when we had a concern. I would highly recommend her.
