Dr. Julie Francis, MD

I was a patient from 8 into adulthood. I went in because I got hives from water on my skin. She appeared nice at first. She did not give me any helpful diagnoses (besides eczema) for 10 years. Once i was an adult i did my own research i brought up that i thought i might have MCAS and EDS but instead of considering my concerns or referring me to another specialist she went off on me & patronized me. She said something along the lines of "I'm the doctor. I went to med school. I have the degree. You can't just go on web MD and act like you know anything." I don't think any medical professional should ever talk to any patient that way. Obviously I never returned after that. I was later diagnosed with both conditions by other medical professions and now am on medication where i'm not in agony doing everyday tasks. I suffered for years undiagnosed unnecessarily and developed PTSD towards going to doctors with my medical concerns. For obvious reasons I do not recommend.

2003 daughter born with a tiny red mark on her nose noted as a “bruise” in records. At 6 weeks the “bruise” started growing at a rapid rate. Pounded down the doors of many dermatologists. Eventually found Dr Julie. Called & said my 6 week old infant has a facial hemangioma. Transferred immediately to her scheduling assistant. The next day she saw my child. Following week laser treatments began at Seattle Childrens Hospital. She saved my child’s face. AMAZING, physician. Forever thankful.

I've taken my son to several appointments with Dr. Frances. While she was nice and seemed genuinely concerned with his medical problem, she didn't seem empathetic to my child's feelings. For example, at one appointment she had to take a biopsy. This is not a big procedure, but to a child can be horrifying as they have to have a needle stuck in them. She didn't seem concerned with his fear and he left her office a mess. The final straw was today when we went back for a follow-up appointment, and

Absolutely love Dr. Francis and her staff. It's been smooth sailing ever since we started going to her a couple years ago. She's friendly, informative & very competent.

I've been going to Dr Francis for years and I love her. She is an incredible doctor and is always so nice and friendly. It's easy to have a conversation with her and she is very relatable, when going through procedures she makes sure your comfort comes first.
