Dr. Julie Howson, MD

Dr Howson was extremely caring. I had an emergency 3/29/21. Dr Howson knew I was in a lot of pain, she held my hand and told me, they’d keep running tests until they found out what was wrong. They did and I was immediately transferred for emergency surgery. I’ll always remember that act of holding my hand, as 3 days before I was at the same ER and felt dismissed by the PA that night. I didn’t have anyone in ER with me (Covid) so her holding my hand was very touching

I visited an ER and was having symptoms of an allergic reaction. Another doctor I had seen awhile back on a completely different visit to the same ER had decided my diagnosis as anxiety disorder. So instead of trying everything to bring my pulse down or curb my reaction to deliver a definitive diagnosis, she pointed to the previous diagnosis stating that “ I can’t believe I wasted all this time!! Do you see this?! Look! See this! You’re an anxiety patient!” I said what if it isn’t anxiety- I’m itching uncontrollably- can’t you give a cortisone shot”. She then said, as if a parent scolding a child “ come here! Come here with me!” Walking towards the exit door for which held open for me and then shut it. She wasn’t thorough, she wasn’t kind, I could have been having a heart attack. But because of MS Howson’s rush and rude behavior, I’ thankful to God that he was watching over me because I was having a reaction and a bad one at that. I could have died that night. Tread with Caution!

Dr. Howson is so kind and efficient! I highly recommend her!!
