Dr. Julie Jones, DO

Was sent to Julie Jones when my test results read positive ANA with positive Smith RNP antibody. My first appointment, where I thought I would be able to ask questions was just to a PA who read my information and approved me to see Julie Jones. I then waited a month and a half for my next appointment. Jones showed up to my 3:00 appointment at 3:37, seemed very distracted to the point that I asked her if she was ok, she was very dismissive of my questions and got up in what I thought was the middle of the appointment to leave. When I told her that I still had questions she leaned forward in a scolding manner and told me that I had gotten my allotted half hour. It was 3:55.

Does not care about helping people in pain unless the tests she runs are positive for only the specific thing she is looking for. If you want answers and the pain to stop do not go to the doctor. She does not care about you.

If you are looking for a new rheumatologist, you are likely chasing a diagnosis and this is not the first or second doctor you’ve seen about it. I have been trying to find a diagnosis and possible treatment or mitigation of my symptoms for close to twenty years now. Referral to the rheumatologist then referral somewhere else, repeat over and over. Dr. Jones got my hopes up when I shared my medical journey, she understood and wouldn’t repeat the past, she had an idea of what might be going on with me and referred me for an MRI. When the MRI results came back she responded with some medical jargon and that was it. I followed up a little while later and she responded that she already gave her answer with the MRI results. And that was it, no referral, no talking through options. Nothing. Just an expensive MRI and hand me off to someone else. Don’t look for a doctor you can count on here. Just makes me want to give up again.
