Assistant needs further training
Had a food allergy panel conducted about 4 or 5 months back. As is protocol, the allergist isn't the one conducting the scrape test. The assistant didn't seem very competent at the actual test, nor with the explanation of the results. In several spots, my back started to bleed, my shirt was stuck to my back when I got home as well. A lot of the info regarding the results was not true, after conducting my own further research, and after obtaining information from a different allergist I decided to see a few weeks after. The 2nd allergist went much much better, no bleeding, more informative and correct information. The assistants that do the food allergy scrape test at Julie's need to be vetted to ensure their competency is all I'm saying at this point. I don't want to single out the assistant and get them in trouble, however, if someone were to reach out to me directly, I'd be happy to share who it was.

I’ve been immunocompromised since I was nine years old. I’ve tried immunotherapy but due to my high sensitivity, was unable to get past the first round of injections. Dr. Wendt took time with me to not only get to the root of what was causing my chronic asthma and systemic reactions to allergens but developed a plan to increase my ability to live a normal life. She’s completely invested with your health care and you couldn’t be in better hands. She provides a high level of attentiveness and I highly recommend her. I look forward to our continued partnership with managing my health and well-being.

The doctor doesn't listen to her patient and seems to have her own agenda because of this, doesn't return patient calls, doesn't give patient test results, orders unnecessary tests and doesn't explain things very well. Front desk and medical assistant staff are nice but not very good at their job. They receive messages but don't call patients back, input information incorrectly with patient forms and don't seem to understand some basic medical information. Positive: the office is in a convenient location, plenty of parking, waiting area is nice.

Like other patients that previously posted, I have a very complicated case. I am immunocompromised from birth and have had an entire life of doctors passing me off as "asthmatic" and just throwing antibiotics at me. I can't tell you how many Z-Paks I have been given, only to get sick again two weeks later. Dr. Wendt was the first Dr. to treat the underlying immune system. After decades of poor management I was finally feeling what other people must feel like when they are healthy. My health has improved a hundredfold since I started seeing Dr. Wendt. She takes whatever time is necessary to ensure that I am taken care of. She is like a second mother to me. I have referred many friends to her office and they have had similar positive experiences. Thank you Dr. Wendt!

Dr. Wendt is great, but her office staff is rude, unorganized, and inefficient. This is unfortunate because I find the level of care from the doctor superb, but ruined by such horrible office staff. They argue with you on the phone, and never send bills, and are downright condescending.

Dr. Wendt was my Dr for many yrs. I arrived home, Laura (office mgr)stated that they were no longer following my care, they transfered me to another Dr. who didn't accept both of my ins. plans. Laura assured me that they did. I called the other Dr & they didn't accept both my ins plans. My care has completely stopped along with/nursing & PT. I'm no longer able to receive my wkly treatments. I no longer recommend this Dr due to poor continuation of care. Office mgr is not honest!!

Dr Wendt is amazing and has made my life better! She is well educated, answers questions in a knowledgeable and professionable manner. In addition she has a wonderful bedside manner. Her staff is well trained and very helpful. I am so happy I found her. My husband is a Physician himself and was impressed. I was shocked when stumbled upon her office and was offered an appointment for an evaluation the very next day! The bottom line is that I would highly recommend her.

Req allergy testing appt. Completed paperwork online yet asked to fill out paperwork in office.Brought back to the exam room (questions asked AGAIN).Left back in the room for at least 45 minutes before the Dr came in.Reviewed (again) allergy meds I was taking and wanted to see if shots could replace. She asks me to schedule another appt in a week for the testing. Almost 2 hours in the office.Charged $169 for absolutely nothing. I'd add more detai, not enough space. Won't be back or recommend.

My first appointment, she was 45 minutes late. Explain the reason I was there was told by her to buy a air purifier for my allergies they would request my records from my previous allergist. Scheduled a follow up for 30 days, only to be called a week before my appointment saying Dr Wendt was no longer with the office. Worst experience ever ! Not to mention I was seen for 5 minutes, but yet my insurance was charged an insane amount.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Wendt above all others hands down. When I brought my very sick child to her, she found what was wrong with him although the head of rheumatology at Children's could not. Because of her and her diligence in trying to find the cause of his illness, he has been on a treatment program and lives a very healthy and active life now. Dr. Wendt is my hero and I pass her name on as many times as I can.

She wasted my time. Her bio said she could prescribe allergist drops, then I had to book a consultation first $40 copayment. I went back for skin testing she didn't tell me to stop taking my allergy meds so I had to go back again a 3rd time and the skin test showed I had an allergy to Ash tree but she wanted to do a 3rd skin test I said no. I asked her if she could do anything for me , she smiled and said she was sorry but she could not do anything for me. She is a terrible Doctor!
