Had a difference of opinion on what time appt was. A 15 minute difference and the refused to see me, refused to release test results. Just an awful place. Can’t speak to the quality of medical care as I’m not qualified but the staff here and their leader have been asked to leave other places and I now see why

I have been seeing Doc Matt for over 3 years . Initially the first year there were no issues . Dr. Matt is very thorough due to my family issues with Thyroid cancer & my numerous thyroid nodules . But for the last 2yrs I have had increasing difficulties with getting my test results back & other extreme delays in returning calls & even getting simple refills auth. by his staff . Recently, I had delay after delay with getting needed surgery documents to be completed & provided to me & the surgical center. I had blood & urine tests run . The office was to call me within several days & lab results would be mailed. I left a message for his nurse to call me when I had not been called on the 5th day. Then I left a 2nd msg that I needed test results for my possible surgery. Monday will be two weeks & no return calls. My main complaint is not the doctors care & treatment it is unacceptable response time by his staff . If you are not a concierge patient do not expect to be a priority.

Unhappy & Disappointed Patient – Aug 14, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Matrisciano?
Visits were o.k. except Each time their initial read shows that I have high blood pressure - which I do not. Each time I have them retake my blood pressure & pay Close attention & each time 2nd read is Normal But they put the high inaccurate reading in my chart Also ! Now permanent inaccurate record. Also I have called 17 times in past 6 business days & let the phone ring up to 10 minutes. No answer Nor no way to leave a voice mail for them to return my call. So finally I pressed # for nurse & left a detailed message of reason for my call.Someone returned my call 2 days later with None of the answers to my questions. She said call back later but that was 2 days ago still no return call. I have made several routine OTHER doctor appts. over the last 2 weeks with no problem. Awful service. I should have heeded reviews before I started there.

I have not went to my appointment yet with Dr. Mat! I am so so excited to be able to see him I’ve done a lot of research and I really have no idea why there are so many negative remarks about him I have a handful of friends who have went to him and I think he is absolutely amazing and they have been going to him for more than five years I am so excited and I cannot wait to report back. The lady who schedules his appointments is so so nice over the phone she called me back twice to verify my appointment time and to make sure that I can make it and she is the sweetest soul.

Would like to give him 0 stars for withholding my test results. No wonder he was asked to leave the Baton Rouge clinic. Having to get lawyers and my insurance involved to get records from him. Everyone PLEASE read and heed these reviews and stay away from this money grabber.

I highly recommend Dr. Matrisciano and I don't understand any of his reviews being negative. He is a brilliant doctor. He listens and doesn't risk a guess without lab results and a patient's report of what is going on. I have recommended him and his practice to numerous friends and family members and we all appreciate Dr. Matrisciano and his staff. They are kind, considerate and have always provided what I needed. Thanks so much!

I do not know where the bad reviews came from. I have been treated by Dr. Matrisciano for about a year now. His staff could not be any more freindly. If I have had to wait, it might have been five minutes. There is a sign upfront stating that you will be charged a fee if you are late. Did you think to call and tell them that you were going to be a few minutes late? They are very punctual which I appreciate in a doctor's office. He is very thorough and always explains what I have going on and the possible soloutions. If all doctors where this way it make for a much better visit. I highly recommend.

Acts friendly at first then downhill from there. He isn’t concerned with patient symptoms. He doesn’t care to explain either.

Doesn’t listen, has a diagnosis in mind just from reading labs, doesn’t care about symptoms, spends 99% of the time typing on the computer and doesn’t look at the patient.

Saw him at BR General awhile back. After waiting 4 weeks for an appointment I was about 5 minutes late for a rush hour morning appt. and got turned away! I had another medical issue a couple years later and went to his new office. Upfront staff is terrible. Not kind or helpful plus they started some new system where they'd charge you the patient upfront in case he got stiffed by insurance, which I've never heard of. Made me uncomfortable so I switched but have to PAY per page to get my records!!

I have been going to Dr. Mat for almost 5 years I like Dr. Mat and have no problems with him but, I DO have a issue with his office staff. I as of 5 years I have been going to him recently I had a billing issue going on a year now!!!! Which his biller Tavia WILL NOT HELP ME WITH even though they need to supply tax info that I cannot supply. I have spoke with her 3 times over the year and even left 2-3 messages for Sherri the office manager and she never called me back! Need to switch doctors!

I was not feeling well and was a little late to the appointment and Dr. Matrisciano REFUSED to see me. Not even offering to reschedule, but DISMISSED me and told me I "wasn't a good fit for him" and told me to go back to my primary care doctor and find a new endocrinologist. Even though the waiting room was EMPTY, no one else was there, but Heaven forbid I was a little late so I got KICKED OUT. And I had been waiting for a MONTH to get an appointment. If the Doctor had been running behind, I wou

Worst Doctor ever. He doodles while talking to you. His staff nurse is rude and loss my records and blame the surgeon who had already sent them twice. How was Dr Mat treating me for 2 months with medical records? I asked for a copy of his notes for my records. It took 5 weeks to receive and cost me $6 for the following: $2 for 2 copies of the 1 page request,1 page invoice, $2 for 21 page doctors notes. I only requested 1 copy. There's not enough space whole horrible experience

I began seeing Dr. Mat at Baton Rouge General. Everything went well until recently. The office staff did not see to speaking with me to reschedule before abruptly closing the office on the day before a holiday weekend. When asked why, the Asst. Office Manager Evangeline, became very combative. She was rude, belligerent, and ignorant. When I received a call from the Office Manager Sherry, she was no better than her subordinate and attempted to over talk me and refused to answer any questions.

Excellent physician. Dr. Mat takes the time to explain your medical condition in great detail even going as far as drawing a diagram. He was the one that found my problem when none of the other doctors could not. Once diagnosed, he recommended an excellent surgeon. Cannot say enough good things. I have the highest confidence in him.
