A tremendously empathic but insightful medical provider. He is not judgmental but he is honest, forthright and tells it like it is. I miss having him in CT but I know that what he is doing now is of great importance to our returning and injured military. So glad they will have access to this awesome provider to help them to recover and live their best lives.

Dr. Schechter rescued me from a SEVERE clinical depression, after two other doctors could not. He saved my life. I can't recommend him highly enough. Very personable man and a great listener. He explains and answers questions exceptionally well. My only regret is that he moved to N.C. and now I can't see him.

Dr Schechter is the finest psychiatrist 2 walk on the face of this earth. I had the privilege & honor 2 be both his patient & friend 4 at least 15 years. He literally saved my life. He was thorough, extremely attentive 2 ur needs & very caring. He didn’t take matters lightly. He’s a true human being 1st before anything. When he took the Hippocratic oath, he respected it & has remained loyal 2 it til this very day. He’ll continue 2 do so! I miss him terribly. I luv him. Maria Stathopoulos
