Dr. Jyothi Mekapati, MD

I would not recommend this practice! Patients treated rudely by staff. Allowed appt to be set up in November for February. Informed at the day before that Dr would not see me because I had been seen by another Dr in the practice! I have never heard of such a policy. The other Dr was Dr Jennifer Swartz, who did my colonoscopy, endoscopy. Found her staff to be insultingly rude, had no recommendation for follow up. Was not impressed and wanted to see someone else. Was first recommended for possible bleed that caused severe anemia. Not good care. Would not recommend this practice. Doylestown health!

Thought she was a good doctor until I got c diff and she told me it was anxiety and stress. I lost 45 lbs in 3 months, couldn't eat and begged her for help. She told the staff I was crazy and to ignore me. I then received help from another doctor who diagnosed me with c diff and helped. Over 3 years later doctors are still trying to clean up her mess.. Run while you can. I also see she has changed offices now.

Called to talk with Dr . They said you will get a call by end of day. No call ! Unprofessional by office staff. Love the doctor

Dr Mekapati was outstanding with both my husband and I when we had our colonoscopies. The process was very efficient from beginning to end, she makes direct eye contact and listens. We were both very impressed and happy with our experience and will use her as needed in the future.

Dr is extremely incompetent. She is very mean and belligerant. Misdiagnosed me with Chrons disease. Stay far away from her.

Dr. Mekapati is a very caring person. She listens to what I say and explains my care clearly.

My wife and I both use Dr. Jyothi Mekapati as our Gastroenterologist. We have been a patient of hers for approximately eight or nine years. Dr. Mekapati, has a warm, friendly and kind personality, in addition to being an excellent physician. She has treated us for numerous gastro issues and performed numerous colonoscopes on both of us. Dr. Mekapati is an outstanding diagnostician and many a lot of time with her patients. She takes a personal interest in our health. We highly recommend her.

I've had three successful procedures done by Dr. Mekapati. She's very friendly and approachable.

Horrible experience with front office staff. Called to schedule an appointment and was told after two weeks that they couldn't locate my file and that this doctor would not take me as a patient for no reason at all. I would strong recommend finding another practice in the area. My review would be 0 stars if that were an option.

While Dr. M is competent, I have always had to wait at least an hour past my appointment time but they always ask you arrive 15 minutes early to check in. When you question how much longer it will, the office staff gets surly. This apparently happens so frequently, no one bothers to apologize for wasting your time.

Best Doctor I've ever had. She is thorough and makes sure all my needs are met. There is no question that I would have that she would think is stupid. I've had U.C. for more than 10 years and have seen many doctors. I was on steroids for a long time, due to other doctors, and she is the only doctor that will do everything in her care to not only make sure I don't go on steroids again, but to use the least amount of medicine possible to help me. I would recommend her to anyone.

Always takes the extra time to listen and orders diagnostics to try to get to the right diagnosis. Hard to find such a caring physician.

Orders a lot of tests, never calls with the results!! Even after calling her office! Time for a new doctor!

Dr Mekapati took care of me for many years for chest pain and difficulty swollwing. I was hospitalized multiple time due to pain in my chest. She was cold and uncaring. She treated me as a drug seeker even in patient. I left here when not only was the situation getting worse but her empathy worsened. I found out after going to Jefferson she didn't do the correct test to diagnose me. I are having esophageal spasms with dyskinesia and only have 40-60 percent use of my esophagus.

Lied and said I refused treatment when speaking to another doctor of mine.
