Don't Waste Your Time! Run Fast and Far Away!
Horrible! Puts on a show that he'll cure you. Two appts were less than 15 mins each of HIS time; as a new patient, that is UNACCEPTABLE!! Wouldn't listen to anything I said and his report was full of lies and misinformation! He is so full of himself and thinks he's the best out there! I wouldn't trust him and his decisions to medication because he is just like a 'used car salesman.'

THE BEST Rheumatologist in the entire state!
I have gone to Dr. Newman for years now and he is the absolute best. Why? He is completely thorough, compassionate, and so knowledgeable. He has always answered my questions and took the right amount of time spent with me. I would recommend him to anyone who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis. Thank God, for Dr. Newman.

Don't do it!
First encounter with Dr Newman every question I had asked, he made me feel like I did not know what I was talking about and disregarding my personal experiences and what has helped me. He was far more concerned with pushing all kinds of different drugs down my throat. And letting me know if I didn't do what he recommended I would have very bad consequences. Unfortunately I have had additional encounters with him and every time I see him it's always the same demeanor and rushed experience. Doesn't listen or care and don't dare question what he tells you. Acts like it's his way or the death way. I just smile and nod my head, in one ear out the other. Two can play that game and who died and made him God!?

Lifesaver- this man should be CLONED!
Make no mistake, Dr. Newman is one of the only doctors in the valley who read my entire medical record, listened to me, took me seriously, and rigorously pursued diagnosis. Though he's completely overwhelmed with patients, he's the only reason I'm able to write this review, because his proactive approach kept me alive throughout my ordeal. Though I'm still not fully diagnosed, nor fully treated yet, he saved me. I was being ignored & overlooked. He put me on the right path, and ALL the progress I've made in 14 years has been the result of his intercession. I'd give him my bone marrow, a kidney, or part of my liver. If I return to full health, I plan to do something to honor him. If he wasn't so overworked or was less accessible, he'd have a 5.0. He's the BEST doctor in this valley.

Uncaring and Entitled
Condescending, dismissive, and unresponsive. I was left with a choice of going to the ER to address the acute pain I was in or wait after multiple calls to their office to get back to me. Per their direction I was to call them rather than go to the hospital because they could do more for me. Previous at this clinic I mentioned to him that his staff was unresponsive only to be told that I was basically lying. He also told me that I didn’t need a procedure that another doctor recommended. Thankfully I followed my own counsel and did the procedure where a condition was diagnosed. I was referred to him to receive care that seems to be given out at their convenience.

Exceptionally pleasant, superbly thorough as well as most knowledgeable physician. After order very extensive blood work which was FEDEX RD to the Mayo Clinic overnight, he was able to diagnose a most elusive disease that had stumped a large collection of super specialists for an entire year of suffering through every possible test imaginable with no tangible results! Most excellent staff in his office as well. I highly recommend this Uber Specialist for the most baffling cases!

Dr Newman does not listen to his patients. He jumps to conclusions and lectures you ! I had some medical issues and concerns while under his care and taking a biologic for my Ankylosing Spondylitis and had my Internal Medicine Doctor call him and HE FIRED ME AS HIS PATIENT! Who does this? Leaving me high and dry with no care for my condition all because of trying to communicate with him and get his opinion and expertise! I can not believe that Eisenhower Medical wants a man like this on the staff. My doctor told me this is "Patient Abandonment" and can not believe a professional would treat me like this. As long as you do not ask a question then you might like this man. Always too busy to read My Chart and respond or get a call back and staff has a hard time communication with this man also it seemed to me! RUN!

I saw Dr. Newman for my second visit today. My first visit was encouraging. He essentially promised he would get to the bottom of my problem. On today’s visit Dr. Newman made a point of saying several times, “I’m healthier than him.” Upon my initial visit Dr. Newman thought I had psoriatic arthritis to due chronic tendinitis and nail changes. This fits with what I believe as well. He ordered a bunch of lab tests, some of which had just been done by primary care. Today’s discussion was as if the initial visit and his preliminary impression never happened. I reminded the doctor he had thought I might have psoriatic arthritis. He asked why that was and I explained because of tendonitis and nail changes. He said we could start with methotrexate for “your nails” and if that didn’t work switch to a biological. I was taken aback he recommended this for nail changes and not psoriatic arthritis and said I did not want this for my nails. I ended up with a prescription for 5mg of predn

Please beware that if you see Dr. Kam Newman, I paid $265.00 to see him the first time...but got no diagnosis or even a suggestion to what my issue was. He ordered more lab work which I had already gotten. Now he would like another $221 to go over my results (holding my results hostage). My other doctors call if there is a problem and certainly do not charge again. The first visit? No prescription and 10 mins of his time. I would go to a more ethical doctor that cares about improving your situation, not getting $200+ for not receiving any type of care.
