I’m a patient with neuropathic POTS and autoimmune disease who does not live in Cleveland. There are very few autonomic specialists in the US, so I flew across the country to see Dr. Chemali last year for an appointment and extensive testing. He and his staff refused to share important results with me until 3 months later at a follow up appointment. This set the tone for future interactions. They do not respond to email, and if they respond at all to a concern (in my case, there were several other urgent concerns about side effects from meds, incorrect billing, etc), it is often weeks later. A billing issue ($2k+) that they caused has sat unaddressed for a year, after multiple attempts on my end to address it. They will not handle appeals for meds like IVIG, or support alternate options like plasmapharesis. It was a huge waste of my time and money to trek out there. Dysautonomia Intl- stop recommending this guy.

I have a severe anoxic brain injury and as a result have adrenal insufficiency. He told me and my family he didn't care what my abnormal brain pet scan showed, he preferred neuropsych testing. He wasn't helpful nor was his staff.

Didn't examine me and walked in and out without discussing my symptoms. Very disappointing. Was great at smiling and shaking hands. However didn't explain my disease he diagnosed or things I could do to help. Disappointed

While the Dr is very knowledgeable stay away! We waited a year for the honor of seeing him only to have them sit on paperwork and not file anything to get treatment approved. It's been 6 weeks since the diagnosis and they have done zero to treat a serious disease. What a joke! And the staff, especially Hali are complete liars (they were caught more than once) and they don't return phone calls. Save your time and sanity and find another Dr that actually cares about helping people
