Great doctor
I’ve been with Dr. Durand for at least ten years. My care from her was routine and infrequent due to great health, until I was stricken with a life threatening disease. At Kaiser your care in the hospital is turned over to a hospitalist. When I was released, I was put back in the care of Dr. Durand and she’s been excellent. Smart, answers emails immediately, always learning, good listener and we work together well on my care. She works well within the Kaiser system which is important. I would never leave Dr. Durand and hope she stays at Kaiser!

Terrible doctor
Incredibly arrogant and callous. Treats my male family members with respect but the female members with dismissiveness and disrespect. Also has given dangerous advice to family members like telling them they should stop a medication abruptly when it was dangerous to do so, and a specialist ended up confirming that stopping cold turkey could result in adverse effects including seizures.

Competent Physician
Dr. Durand has been my primary care physician for a number of years. She is typically attentive and follows through when you need her assistance with other departments. She tends to follow the Kaiser protocol which is to intervene gradually and safely but listens to complaints and attempts to solve issues

Worst doctor at Kaiser I have ever seen. Basically denied that I have a condition that is widely documented in my medical records by two previous doctors (unfortunately, both drs left Kaiser, which is how I got stuck with Dr. Durand). Not the first time I’ve gotten attitude from her, either. AVOID her at all costs!

Dr. Durand is the best primary care physician I have ever had. She is competent, caring, meticulous. She remembers my history. She is on top of any specialists I have. I would never go anywhere else.
