On Monday, September 27th, The staff for Dr. Karen Bowles was able to arrange for an urgency visit for my wife within hours of our request. It is not the first time that Dr. Bowles and her amazing staff have helped us through a difficult situation. We all know that these are extraordinary times with much stress placed on our health care professionals, so we are extraordinarily fortunate that we have Dr. Bowles and the staff at Penn's Department of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Bowles is the best. I'd been through a couple primary care physicians before I found her. What a relief to finally get the care I need.

Karen Bowles was my primary care physician for 6 years. While she is nice and will listen to you, she is NOT A COMPETENT DOCTOR! I had below normal and low vitamin levels (iron, zinc & vitamin D) and was losing my hair, but she did nothing to help. During that time, I had an undiagnosed autoimmune disease of my thyroid--which is the most common autoimmune disease--and she did not run any of the normal blood tests. It was not until I switched doctors that I realized what a bad doctor she was.

I have been a regular patient of Dr Bowles for several years now, and I am thankful to have a doctor that I have a relationship with, so I don't have to explain my history at every visit. She is informative and helpful and I trust her judgment. She also is great at responding through MyPennMedicine, so I can ask questions without needing a visit
