Dr. Karen Donley, MD

The first visit, I was asked to fill out patient paperwork. At that time Dr. Donley said “it looks like I can refer you to Eisenhower Behavioral Health to get you help with depression/grief therapy”. Dr. Donnelly told me Eisenhower Behavioral Health would be calling me to schedule an appointment. No calls, emails, texts, ever came. Today was my second visit with Dr. Donley. I asked the nurse why I never received a call from Eisenhower Behavioral Health and the nurse told me the “referral” was NEVER entered in the system??? Dr. Donley came in, looked at me with a blank stare. Dr. Donley never referred me to Eisenhower Behavioral Health. Since struggling to get pregnant for years, then to have endometriosis which led to a hysterectomy, thus not being able to have a child, you would think Dr. Donley , just from a humanity standpoint if nothing else, would want to refer me to be able to get necessary therapy. Awful doctor! You’re just a number!! Go elsewhere!

It's hard to overstate just how poor the care was when my wife visited Dr. Donley's office. For reference, the doctor had seen my wife once before for a gynecological referral that was relatively standard. This recent visit was to discuss her having massive, recurring pain in her abdomen and pelvis, leaving her unable to work and care for our child for days at a time. Dr. Donley refused my wife's two previous pelvic exam results, even though she had been seen twice at Eisenhower Urgent Care and once at the ER in the past five weeks. The procedure was exceptionally painful for her, and medically unnecessary according to our primary that we saw just two days prior. Dr. Donley decided to focus on why my wife didn't finish the last medication she prescribed (it gave her horrible mood swings and an infection), and gave relatively little care aside from another referral. Oh, and the office canceled medication prescribed by her primary before she could even take them. Do not go here.
