Telehealth
I wanted to get tested for Autism because of some issues I was having and a genetic history of it. She informed me most high functioning people experience no problems in the workplace, school and their personal lives so she didn't see the point. This was while I was on FMLA from work for issues at work. Also, asked me if I was trying to get on full disability (something I never mentioned and don't want) because that was the only reason she would bother with all that. And I clearly wasn't that bad and I didnt want to be on full disability did I? At this point I was crying and she asked me why because it seemed like I was more upset now then when the appointment started. I said she was being invalidating and I didn't agree with (and I know from other doctors) that what she was saying wasn't right. She then tried to force me to get on a second SSRI. I hate that people like this are still in healthcare. Her antiquated take of mental health hurts people. Don't waste your copay

care philosophy

My current practice is outpatient adult psychiatry. My residency training in both Family Medicine and Psychiatry, with ten years of experience in primary care practice, brings patients a broad perspective that is helpful in integrating psychiatry into overall wellness. 

biography

I offer primary care to families, including children and adults of all ages, with specialized attention to depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. I am available to other physicians in the group as a consultant for psychiatric conditions and provide ongoing psychiatric care including psychotherapy.
