Dr. Karen Phillipps, MD

Having just moved to the area, I needed a new PCP. After much searching and reviewing, I chose Dr. Phillipps and TLC. I found her to be an excellent and thorough physician who spends enough time with patients to build a relationship, review testing and conditions, answer questions and make a plan going forward. I also find her assistants and staff to be pleasant and helpful. You may have a longer wait time due to the thoroughness given each patient but I understand that and know I will get the same unrushed attention as well.

Dr Phillips always takes her time to understand, and make her patients understand clearly, she has a great NP at facility too. First Dr in 64 years I have total trust in!

Today is a day in which we give THANKS....& I can't thank TLC Family Practice enough for Amanda Waters, MSN,APRN-C! My first time having a Dr/Nurse interactions other than the ER. With my experience, Drs are very condescending, impatient & don't listen. Not here! With each visit, Amanda displayed such compassion, care, concern, empathy, patience, attentiveness & understanding. She took such care & concern & asked questions! Amanda actually showed that she cared, unlike other drs that i had experienced, & took the time to understand & diagnose the ailment. Each medical issue I had, she addressed & resolved with the correct treatment! There's no room for doubt or questions because Amanda is so thorough. She gives a whole new meaning to dotting ur I's & crossing ur 'T's! She was 'Johnny on the spot' after learning of my chest pains I previously experienced & did due diligence in addressing it.Without reservation or hesitation & with due diligence leaving no stone unturned, with compassion, care & concern, each medial issue was addressed. Now, I can ?? off my medical concerns because of Amanda Waters ?? off each of hers! Happy Thanksgiving Amanda Waters! Oh yes, I also give thanks to Chomyon, who fought tooth & nail with my insurance company! Chomyon never gave up & never gave in! Initially my insurance company refused to pay for a monthly mediation that I needed to take costing $450 month (with discount). Now, Chomoyn's due diligence & persistence, I am only paying $25! & Lastly, I give thanks for the entire TLC Team! With each visit, there was a smile, concern, compassion & attentiveness & a spirit of: "How May I Help You"! From friendly reminders to making appointments to receiving payments always with a smile & a patient & caring ?? . Now...I almost look forward to getting sick! (Not;) They say, "Love Is A Healing Agent"...TLC Family Practice definitely lives up to its name! Thank you TLC Family Practice for showing me TLC! Happy Thanksgiving! I saw Amanda Waters, MSN,APRN-C today. By far the absolute best healthcare provider I’ve ever spoken with. She LISTENED, explained and informed so much more than I’ve ever experienced in my 68 years. I’m excited and hopeful for an ongoing good relationship between provider and patient. She’s a rare gem!

I have GREAT respect for Dr Phillipps ! She has met my every need and worked with me through diabetes and heart failure and kidney failure. Did an ordered appropiate X-rays, lab tests and referrals. Sge is wonderful!!

Dr Phillipps is a ver compassionate Doctor who takes her time with each patient in order to solve their problems even the mentally ill.Anyone saying otherwise is not telling the truth

I feel very comfortable talking to Dr. Phillips and Nurse Lisa. I have had appointments with both and feel I receive excellent care from both of them. I have Multiple Sclerosis and they are very knowledgeable of my disease and provide me the resources and medical professionals to ensure a positive quality of life. Appointments are within 2 days or same day of request.

Dr. Phillips and her staff with A.R.N.P. Lisa and all her girls are absolutely a breath of fresh air. They are very personable while being professional. Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Phillips. She has caught several of my medical problems on first visit and has them taken care of promptly. She has more compassion than any Dr. I have ever visited. She treats her patients and staff with utmost respect and yet puts her personal touch on everything. Lisa is absolutely wonderful too.

Very thorough and truly cares about your health

I went multiple times for a rash - she could never figure out what it was. I went to a new Dr. and she immediately told me what it was. Every time I went to Dr. Phillipps she would give me a least one new prescription, and usually two or three of them. The rash I had was caused by one of the scripts she gave me. I am currently not on *any* prescription medication.
