Listened carefully and uninterruptedly to my history of knee issues. Was open minded about all my previous documentation from other physicians.Patient, very clear speaker, thorough.My privilege to see her. Praying for healing of my knee/leg.

Very unprofessional, was unwilling to compromise or listen. We tried to see her and refused to see us because we didn't arrive 15 minutes early.

Dr. Karmela Chan is an outstanding specialist but she is also exceptionally kind and she cares about her patients deeply -- beyond the usual level of a professional interest. She is very attentive and she follows through with problems she notices that may not be directly related to her area of specialization. In my view, she has the best possible qualities for someone ho has dedicated her life to the medical profession. Her humanity is remarkable and I consider myself very fortunate to be her patient and to have met her.

Dr. Karmela Chan put me on a medication that I was later told by multiple Rheumatologists would not help my condition and caused horrible side effects and she then left the practice with no contingency plan in place for my treatment. Her appointments were short and it seemed she didn't read my previous medical records because she wrote down the wrong classification of arthritis I have in my her notes, which I found out from another physician in the practice after she left. I would not recommend her. I have seen many rheumatologist from pediatrics to adults and she did not provide good care. There are many rheumatologists out there that put more time, effort, and scientific research into their patients. Find another doctor.

Dr. Chan helped me when no one else could. The thing that struck me the most was when she said I was thinking about you last night and..... She actually thought about how to help me with my mystery illness in her time off. I don't know where I'd be without her.

Dr Chan is the most caring,sensitive, qualified, and mentally equipped Doctor I have ever met. I would refer anyone to her to include my own mother. She truly has a heart of gold with the abilitys to match. There is no one better.

Very good diagnostician, zeros in on problem quickly.
