Dr. Karol Otteman, DO

I was referred to Dr. Otteman for a colposcopy and to check symptoms for PCOS. She proceeded to just talk about my weight in very rude comments. Such as "you know you don't need to eat a whole pizza, you can just have two slices" without even talking about what I eat. She told me I was 100 pounds overweight and suggested I go on a 1000 calorie diet. My vitals have been normal and my rapid weight gain was why I was referred for the possible PCOs. She didn't believe I had it, even though I showed my portal to her and then proceeded to do more blood work to check the testosterone again which shocker, was highly elevated. I left the appointment crying and almost having a panic attack I also didn't eat for a day and a half because I was so upset. I was completely invalidated and also my care was neglected for the colpscopy and PCOS. I would not recommend going if you are considered overweight to BMI standards.

She is the nicest, most thorough gynecologist that I've ever had. She's very concerned about her patients.

I felt that Dr Otteman really listened to my concerns and communicated that she wanted to find a way to help me without changing my medication if that wasn't necessary. I made a small lifestyle adjustment at her recommendation and was feeling better with no medication change. I would really recommend her!

Till today I do not not understand why she had sent my wife for test multiple times without reason. The test were not only painful but costly and resulted same results week after week. Our only mistake is that we believed in her. Definitely will not visit her again.

Dr. Otteman is 100% my first doctor that i trust. Ive never met someone that could read and tell me a lot about my body on whats going. she has saved my life during surgery and she is such an amazing and honest person. Thanks to Dr. Otteman i am feeling a lot better and back to healthy!!!

I finally feel like I have a doctor that cares! Dr. Otteman listens carefully to my concerns, and she goes over with me step by step what's needed to get me to better health. I am so blessed to have her as my OB/GYN doctor. She is absolutely great and I highly recommend her!

I can say a lot about Dr Otteman, but it will take a minute to sum things up she is the best I came to her and the problem and it was solved in a month her staff is awesome
