Excellent Surgeon for Rare Throat Condition
I saw Dr. Dewan in January 2025 for a consultation about my Clicking Hyoid Syndrome anatomy and symptoms, and I had surgery for this condition with her in March 2025. This is a rare condition that most radiologists, speech PTs and ENTs are not aware of -- Dr. Dewan is one of the few experts. I appreciated that my condition was seen and validated by Dr. Dewan and I found her extremely knowledgeable, competent, attentive and kind. My surgery was planned and executed without complications, despite the fact that I have a complex medical situation. I have pretty much complete resolution of my problematic symptoms and could not be more pleased with the results of the surgery. Also, all the other medical professionals and staff at Ochsner LSU were also truly excellent, especially Dr. Dewan’s resident, Dr. Latour, who co-managed my care. I highly recommend Dr. Dewan and her team if you suspect Clicking Hyoid Syndrome. Thank you Dr. Dewan, Dr. Latour and team!!

Excellent doctor
She explained everything well. I went to a lot of other doctors. They said nothing was wrong. She went right to the problem and explained in my condition.

Stanford Medical Center in Stanford, CA transformed my life. Vocal cord surgery was on March 15 and for several weeks afterwards my voice went from bad to very bad. Feared the operation damaged my vocal cords and I would have scars. Then about 2 months after operation one morning my excess mucus and raspy voice disappeared. My voice was near radio quality. Different voice but way better than ever before. Reminds me of the homeless 'Man with the Golden Voice'.
