Dr. Donnithorne saw my family member for a terrible eye infection. She did not have great bedside manner and rushed out of the room after her exam. Had to stop her to ask questions and when she would answer our questions there were times when she would stand in the doorway and continue walking out. Her office also does not have an on call line so when my family member started having vision changes we could not reach her and had to drive to Birmingham eye hospital, Callahan. Once we followed up with her after this ER visit she was frustrated with us that we went to Callahan because they changed his medication from what she wanted him on. We told her we tried calling but there was no way to reach her (I even called the on call ENT doctor that saw him and he was surprised she did not have an on call number). When we told her she just acted surprised that she didn't have an on call number and was not apologetic or empathetic at all. Stressful and unpleasant experience all around.

Sad to leave her care
She is wonderful but too busy. My appointment was changed without my permission from Montgomery to Prattville every time. Three years in a row is enough.

This is one awesome doctor. She is highly professional, and cares about her patients. My cataract surgery was a huge success, thanks to Dr. Donnithorne. I highly recommend Dr. Donnithorne, and Montgomery Eye, for any eye care needs.

Dr. Donnithorne completed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I now have excellent vision and could not be happier with her services. In addition Dr. Donnithorne takes the time to talk and listen and explain things to her patients. I never felt like she had an allotted time that she had to hurry and get to the next appointment. Its a once in a lifetime surgery and if I had it to do over again I wouldn't change anything. Thank you !!
