After long wait for appointment she interviewed me n I gave her all my labs . She said she needed a week to look over everything . I had to chase her down 3 times for 3 months . I Suffer in pain with no answers and didn’t seem like she cared at all . I asked her to mail my labs to my home . Thank goodness I found a new Dr who’s doing the work ,cares n I’m now hopeful .

Outrageous!
After waiting over three months for an appointment with this “doctor” recommended by our Columbia cardiologist we just received a call, seven days before our appointment date, informing us DR NICKERSON does Not take our Medicare/blue cross insurance despite providing all of this to the office over three months ago!!!!!! Absolutely disgraceful management on the part of her staff which has pushed us back months and months to find another rheumatologist. Given these circumstances I called her office back and said she should take my husband out of professional respect and courtesy and all I got was “ I’m sorry there is nothing I can do!”

It was less than great and seems robotic. A change of medication could have had a positive effect on a serious condition, but not suggested. The pandemic appears to have taken a toll on this doctor. Contrary to what is indicated here, she does NOT accept Medicare. Patients should be aware.

Terrific medical professional and human being-I transitioned to her husband in 1996 from a pediatric rheumatologist and I count her as my primary care doctor and a champion in this fight against systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis! I have had this illness 45 yrs now! I highly recommend her!

I wouldn’t recommend. Long wait times. As a lupus patient with flares, when in flare mode, it took weeks to get an appointment. When it was obvious medications weren’t working, Dr Nickerson didn’t change treatment indicating she didn’t “know me” well enough. This was after seeing her for a year+ and keeping a detailed log of symptoms.

I was diagnosed with Stills over 20 years ago which is when I first met Dr. Nickerson. I just recently had a flare and went to a local dr only due to where I was living at the time. I wasn't getting better so went back to Dr. Nickerson who got me back on my feet in no time. She knows her stuff, asked the right questions and listens. She follows up better than any Dr I've been too. I very highly recommend her...
