I saw Dr. Baker today for a problem that will require surgery. She was extremely helpful, listened to me and explained my options. She went out of her way to introduce me to the surgeon and followed up to make sure I was being taken care of. This was nothing but excellent, professional treatment, the best I have ever had at an ER. The rest of the staff was outstanding too as they have a very organized check in procedure to keep things moving.

Absolutely unprofessional and careless. Such people should be banned from healthcare! Seeing somebody short after extremely complex surgery and neither ordering basic tests nor checking the patient history nor even trying to talk with the surgeon team? She only was interested to sell me some expensive drug that (most probably) she is getting commission from and that (obviously) was disapproved by all doctors I've seen after her? Judge yourself whether or not you want to take a risk with such a doctor!

I saw Dr. Baker last Friday afternoon after having inguinal pain. The area was warm to the touch and protruded. She saw me briefly and barely examined the area, acknowledging the lump. I was sent for a ct scan which found nothing. Rather than including an ultra sound they gave me a bit of morphine and sent me on my way. Now, I’ve been a runner and weight trainer for over 50 years I can tell you this was no muscle strain. I intend to go to my old hospital at Stanford and get their evaluation. The hospital I was seen in appears run down and the current doc I saw, (an OD) was fairly dismissive of my painful problem. Should Stanford find that I do have a hernia I will contact higher authorities at Mercy and let them know they dropped the ball. By the way, is it normal for a second year nursing student to give a patient morphine with no one else in the room?

i went to the ER and dr. Baker was the physician on the floor that day. She was very dismissive of my condition and concerns. Barely examined me and sent me on my way after being ignored all afternoon with antibiotics (without even running labs or any tests to confirm an infection). I fear i will have to go back to the ER again to actually get care.

dr. baker is terrible. I was not even seen by her personally, in which she ordered an involuntary shot of geodon, which made it difficult for me to swallow, I woke up every 3 minutes, and my body hurt all over.

I was seen by Dr. Kathleen Baker last night in the ER and found her to be very through, informative and compassionate. I think she is an outstanding doctor. I just wish that there were more like her.

I took my wife to the ER on night and Dr Baker was the physician who saw her. Dr Baker was very short and did not even examine her. She was immediately dismissive of my wife's condition and was quick to send her home. I could tell she was just in a hurry to get on to the next person and didn't really care about my wife. We ended up going back to the ER the following day and she saw a different doctor who actually admitted her for severe pneumonia! My advice is find a doctor who cares.
